Learn to cook Costa Rican dishes and make friends!

We had an absolutely AMAZING time with Melissa and her husband, David. They welcomed us into their home and shared cooking, dinner, and their home and hospitality with us! We are so very grateful for the opportunity to have met them, learned to cook Costa Rican dishes, and to have lived Pura Vida for a whole week. Anyone visiting Costa Rica should go to her class!!

We had so much fun with Melissa. She welcomed us into her home, which is so lovely, and into her kitchen. We chopped and prepped and learned her secrets to multiple typical Costa Rican dishes. They were DELICIOUS! We loved getting to know Melissa and her husband David. Melissa is an excellent professional cook, a wonderful conversationalist and a delightful person. We can't wait to try these recipes at home and remember our time in Costa Rica! Thank you Melissa for a wonderful experience!

Intimate, immersive, cultural experience

Our afternoon spent with Melissa felt like a fun lunch with a friend... who happens to be an amazing Chef. Melissa was so welcoming, patient and informative. We chatted up a storm while she coached us through preparing a beautiful spread of authentic Costa Rican food. I can't wait to try her Chimichurri recipe! The food was fresh, light and delicious. This is a great intimate experience if you are looking for an authentic cultural immersion.

Melissa and her family were very beautiful inside and out. Her passion for sharing her culture's cuisines was palpable. The experience was laid back and intimate. Everything was easy to make and delicious.
