Fantastic Family Trip

Disappointed

The journey to the site took over an hour, admittedly not the tour operators fault, but bear in mind when booking. Diego was the guide and was very personable and fluent in English. The tour consisted of a relatively short boat ride in shallow waters while trying to spot sloths and/or monkeys who, unfortunately, chose Valentine's Day to have a day off! Ultimately disappointing and not worth the cost, at least for us.

A Peek into Another World

Diego was a great guide and pointed out flora and fauna along the river. He's very familiar with the monkeys of the area, even having names for them all! The ride getting there was a little long, but I'm glad I went!

Great tour! The heat can be intense and this was a great way to get out in a nice shaded way. Daniel, our guide on the boat was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke great English. We were worried for a bit that we weren’t going to see any monkeys, but the guides on various boats worked their magic with their calls and rounded them up for us!

A wonderful open air boat tour

We had hotel pick up and our driver was so kind. The tour guides were amazing, very fun, very knowledgeable and made the learning of the area the focus in a low pressure engaging way. We saw at least 10 monkeys, a snake and many lizards. As they are wild and not guaranteed we were very lucky

Monkey Mangrove

Our guide was very personable and helped us to see a young Boa Constrictor, a few lizards, a heron, a hummingbird, a very hard to see sloth, and a few monkeys. We were expecting a bit more. In the end, we only got to see a few monkeys. The mangroves were very cool to see, but this lacked a bit in delivery when paying a few hundred dollars for the tour. The guides were trying very hard to show us everything they could, but nature was not playing along.

This tour was incredible! We got to see animals up close! Our guide Diego, was phenomenal and mentioned he had been studying the monkeys for years and had so much information! Please tour with him! This tour was a highlight of our trip in Costa Rica! I would recommend this tour to everyone!

This was the perfect experience from hotel pick up to drop off. The transportation was top notch, the waiting area and gift shop was adorable. My daughter had a ball playing with all 12 of the friendly dogs on site. The tour itself was relaxing, educational and a must do! Our tour guide was easy too understand and was full of insight! The highlight was definitely the monkeys, they were amazing. I say if you are in the area you should definitely try this tour!

Great trip in covered boat. We were a party of 5 with total in boat of about 13 people. Saw plenty monkeys up close , 2 sloths and close up with crocodile. And many crabs . Great price and great experience. Great guide. Good price . Would highly recommend.
