Crocs and pretty birds

We saw several crocodiles and lots of birds, as promised. Very knowledgeable guide. The captain went above and beyond to put us in the best position to take great pictures.

The facility is excellent. Nice location, good restaurant, decent selection of merchandise to shop and clean restrooms. The boat trip was fun and an engaging way to beat the heat while learning about the area and viewing numerous birds in their natural habitat. We did see several crocodiles; both in the water and on shore. The biggest was around 8 foot and fairly close to the boat. Excellent staff. I would consider this tour a great value based on the general cost of tours in Costa Rica.

A very comfortable boat ride with lots of bird sightings and of course close up croc sightings.

We were a group of 10 friends and we had an amazing time on this tour! It was both relaxing and engaging, and I came away learning so much. We came so close to the crocodiles while we were in the boat and also saw so many different bird species along the river. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and able to answer any question we threw at him. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Excellent tour! Our guide was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. We soaked up beautiful scenery, identified lots of birds, learned about the river, and saw several crocodiles (many VERY close up). Great experience!

MY husband and I booked this because we love animals, learning about them etc. Crocodiles are high on our list and we thought it would be a cool experience to check out on our last full day in Costa Rica. We were beyond impressed.
The boat ride on the Tarcoles river was beautiful enough, but then ALL THE CROCODILES. Our guide was so informative and shared tons of knowledge with us. It was honestly one of my favorite travel experiences. Then to top it all off we ent to the mouth of the river where it meets the Pacific ocean and watched the sunset, and that was perfection.
