What To Expect

See many of Kauai’s natural and cultural attractions on this full-day guided tour. After hotel pickup in the morning, relax in a deluxe air-conditioned coach as your local guide shares stories from Kauai’s history and provides narration on passing sites.

As you make your way toward the rocky red landscape of Waimea, pass local attractions like the historic Koloa Sugar Mill, Nawiliwili Harbor, and Queen Victoria’s profile. Stop at the Spouting Horn natural blowhole, and watch water burst through the natural lava tubes for a spectacular sight.

Drive up a scenic winding road to reach the lip of Waimea Canyon for breathtaking views of the so-called ‘Grand Canyon of the Pacific.’ Carved by the passage of water over thousands of years, the red lava rock canyon stretches an impressive 10 miles (16 km) long and 1 mile (1.6 km) wide.

See another side of Kauai on a cruise down the scenic Wailua River, considered to be sacred by native Hawaiians. Relax as your boat leisurely traverses the gentle currents and soak in the lush tropical landscape. Visit nearby attractions such as the Fern Grotto, the sacred royal Birthstone, Opaekka Falls, and Coco Palms Grove.

At the end of your full-day Kauai adventure, you are dropped off back at your hotel in the early evening.

We visited with our 1 year old son and brought him on this tour. There was enough time to explore at each stop that made it very entertaining for him but not too long that we were trying to kill time. Would definitely recommend to families with kids. Great tour of many island highlights all in one day! That being said it is a very full day! We probably would have done this earlier in our trip so we would have the knowledge we gained throughout the rest of our time! Lunch was not anything special but didn’t leave hungry. Kaleo, our guide, really made the trip special!

Kaleo is the best! He is very smart and knowledgeable about Kauai. He also put a lot of effort into making sure we had a memorable experience and learned a lot about Hawaii (Kauai in particular). We rented a car to explore the island, but I am thankful we had a local guide with such vast knowledge who could show us around and teach us the history and culture. 10/10 recommend!

One of the best tours we’ve been on this year and we’ve been on a number throughout different countries. Kaleo set the standard high for every guide to follow after him. He did a fantastic job on all fronts. He was funny, entertaining and professional all at once. He has a unique style and truly cared about his group. We were beaming with happiness long after we were dropped back to the hotel. As for the tour structure and stops: also 5/5, highly recommend! We enjoyed it all, from waterfalls to the Smith’s Boat, lunch, Canyon and more. This tour is a little gem. Also a shoutout to our fabulous “runner” who picked us up in the morning to bring us to Kaleo’s bus.
