We had an amazing time at the tea ceremony! We learned so much. The tea master was so patient and kind. I traveled with my 2 year old daughter who they treated so well. They had a kimono for her to wear too! She got to participate in making the tea as well! I was beyond happy with this experience. I would highly recommend it for any family!

This was a phenomenal experience and gave us a small insight into Japanese culture. We were led by women trained in traditional Japanese Tea Ceremonies and learned about the cultural practices and traditions behind tea in Japan, while wearing traditional garments and drinking delicious matcha.

The private tea ceremony exceeded my expectations. It was very informative of the tea ceremony culture and tea master practices. They made me feel like a princess, they dressed me in a kimono which I was able to choose the colors I wanted and the sash and hair piece. They took plenty of photos with my phone which came out like professional! I was given sweets while the tea master demonstrated the motions for making the tea. I was served matcha tea and then was able to try and made the tea myself with the help of the master. The tea had a very clean taste and very smooth. They were really sweet and answered every question I had. All time dedicated to me and no other tourists which made this extra special. I was happy to be able to practice my Japanese with them as well. Wonderful experience I definitely recommend!

We enjoyed the tea ceremony experience and we all learn something about the culture. They have some kimono for you to dress up with but don’t expect too many choices because that’s not the focus of the experience. They would do your hair quickly but I honestly didn’t like how it was done. The translator took some very staged photos for us which I am not a fan neither. With that being said, the experience is about tea ceremony and all other things are just extras. I thought they did a good job of explaining the history and each step of the ceremony. My son said it was the second best tour of the whole trip. (We did 5 and the top one for him was ninjas experience)

We had a great experience! We met with our guide at a main area, and were then driven to the location of our tea ceremony. The tea master and her apprentice dressed us in their traditional kimonos, and took some photos of us for keepsakes. The tea master then showed us a traditional tea ceremony, which was very interesting. We then got to make our own tea as well. They were both so kind and I would highly recommend this experience to any tourist. It was very neat to see and really showcased a big portion of Japanese culture.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare, ruhige Teezeremonie mit Caren! Zuerst durften wir uns die Kimonos aussuchen und wurden eingekleidet. Dann führte Caren die Teezeremonie durch und schließlich durften wir selbst unter Anleitung eine Teezeremonie machen. Dankeschön für den schönen Nachmittag und die sehr interessanten Erklärungen zum Tee und der Zeremonie!
