It was very cool to learn the history of chocolate and coffee. It was even more cool to see how both are made. Walking away with our own handmade chocolate was amazing, though I much prefer eating the chocolate from the gift shop. Yen was an awesome tour guide!

This was a fantastic experience for our whole family! We combined the coffee and chocolate tour, and our guide, Rafael, was awesome! He was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about Costa Rican culture and history through the tour. We were able to see the roasting and traditional brewing process of the fine Arabica beans and we were able to make our own chocolate bars at the end. I would recommend this tour for anyone who likes coffee, chocolate, or Costa Rican culture! Gracias! Pura Vida!!
Great dive into chocolate and coffee production

The tour is very well organized, very interactive hand-on experience. It would be equally interesting to do for adults and kids: you pass through all the stages of collecting, preparation and final output of coffee and chocolate. You try to perform yourselves all the processes and make your own chocolate bar. In the end you have a tasting in the gift shop.

Our guide made this tour incredible and hard to beat. He was very informative and super patient with my grandkids and let them try everything if they wanted to, but always their parents if it was okay first.
