Transportation from all hotels in La Fortuna and Arenal area is included, a few hotels may be located out of the main area and will require an extra fee. Let us know the name of the place you are staying at and will gladly pick you up! Some travelers have rental cars and prefer to meet with us, just tell us where you will be coming from. In interested in the tour from a different destination, other than Arenal, please let us know, we can offer transportation from many places around the country.

I had a great day it rained pretty much the entire day but it didn’t really matter yes we couldnt see the top of the volcano but the hike was gorgeous! there was plenty of nature to see, orchids, Bromeliads, giant fern trees and other flowers, tarantulas, bats, Coatis, sloth, two Eyelash vipers. With all the rain the falls were incredible. The views down into the jungle from the hanging bridges was like Fern Gully. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

Loved the hanging bridges, absolutely gorgeous!! Our guide had us there early to miss the crowds. It was phenomenal! The volcano was nice. The clouds actually cleared and we enjoyed views of the top- which is rare from what we heard. The waterfall was a bit disappointing, as we had been at Nauyaca falls- which were absolutely gorgeous and not crowded. La fortuna was crowded and didn’t offer great swimming options. We did add on the eco therminales with dinner at the end, it was fabulous!! We got there before the crowds and had dinner at the end - it was delicious.

Raul was such a great guide! He would stop and point out wildlife all along the trip, we even stopped as we were driving to the waterfall to get some great looks at a sloth in the area. The volcano hike was awesome, absolutely stunning views of Arenal Volcano and the surrounding valley. The lunch was an amazing and traditional Costa Rican food that was awesome and the people who run the restaurant were super nice and even shared some recipes. They really make sure you have a great time. You can even have them drop you off at one of the many hot springs in the area to soak away your tired muscles and grab dinner.

That experience was AMAZING. To buy this opcion was the best thing we could do to expend the day in Arenal. Our guide, Pedro, was amazing. He helped us to discover the most beautiful animals in the area. The lunch was amazing, they treated us as family and everything were delicious. Absolutely recommended.

A brilliant experience (despite the weather)!

This was a wonderful, jam-packed tour despite the rain. A special shout out to Hansel, our guide, and Eduardo, our driver! I spent close to three weeks in Costa Rica and still Hansel's passion for wildlife and his job really stood out. He took the time to spot birds and sloths even in wet weather, and his enthusiasm was undimmed even during our volcano hike in torrential rain, where he took the time to point out miniature orchids and tell us about leaf-cutter ants. Eduardo also found us a bright yellow eyelash viper close to the road (which was far more hidden than the description would have you believe). We could not swim in La Fortuna waterfall as the rains had been too heavy. The lunch break was in a wonderful family run restaurant with a lovely garden and birds - one of the best meals I had in Costa Rica! Rainforest Explorers did a brilliant job with this tour!

Absolutely amazing adventure. We enjoyed every aspect of this tour. Our guide, Hancel was amazing at spotting wildlife, no matter how small. Very knowledgeable and patient. Our driver and host for lunch, Eduardo offered us the best meal of our trip.

This excursion is the perfect choice for someone wanting to experience as much as possible in the La Fortuna/Arenal area! Anthony was an excellent guide who has an amazing eye to spot wildlife in the area as well as being very knowledgeable about the history of the country and the areas we explored. We had a great guide Carlos who was so knowledgeable about everything. We saw so many animals, sloths,birds ,monkeys ,snakes, tarantula in hole, anteater... The day was filled with lots of walking,climbing ,the lunch that was included was at a very good restaurant, everything fresh and delicious. Be prepared to walk though, Worth every penny and time!!

Essential combo to see most of La fortuna! It involved massive walking but it was all worth it. Guide was very informative and helped us spot wildlife. Having lunch before 3rd highlite makes walking to volcano hard and frustrating with tummies full..Not suitable for persons with heart or mobility issues
