Overview
Experience the thrill of riding an ATV along tracks in the Costa Rican rain forest during this exhilarating half-day activity from La Fortuna. Good experience but wow factor is lacking

I was fortunate to be the only driver on the tour so it was uno a uno with the guide who was professional and friendly. We went around the fields, through the rain forest, up and down rocky terrain with two stops, including one where I was offered bottled water and a chance to have a chat with the guide which I enjoyed a lot. The other stop was where the guide offered to take my pictures with a view of the Arenal volcano in the background.
I am taking away one star from this experience because the starting point of the tour is literally right across the entry gate to the Arenal Volcano National Park but the tour itself takes us nowhere close to the volcano. Driving through fields and rain forest dirt roads is an OK experience but not worth 5 stars.
The coolest way to see Costa Rica’s landscape.

This was such a cool experience. I think our favorite of our time here. ATVing was not as easy as I expected so definitely be a good/brave driver. If you’re going during a rainy season I do recommend some sort of rain coat because we did get soaked when we had some rain, but we just went with it and it was super fun!

This ATV experience was awesome. The reason for the 4/5 is due to the refund policy. I booked for four, one being a 13 year old. When we started it was clear my son unfortunately was not going to be able to do the ATV by himself and he jumped on with my husband. I did ask to be refunded for individual and then charged for double (as he did not use the unit nor the gas), but they refused. It is against policy. Therefore, I am deducting a point, may be "policy" but that doesn't mean I have to like it. So be mindful, if your youth is on the fence, once you book as individual, that price stays. Hence, minus the point. Now, let me say, this was by far the best ATV course I have been on. So much fun, puddles everywhere, inclines and dips, very bumpy and FUN! It rained on the return, poured actually with lightening, which made it a bit more thrilling! Our guide even stopped to call for the monkey and we got to see them:) Oh, and do the clay mask, very refreshing. Great ride, great landscape, so much fun!

5 in our group went and overall enjoyed themselves. Only thing that bothered them was 1 solo rider was added to their party and was up front in the line going very slow. Our young adults were frustrated by this. Hopefully the guides can be more aware of when there is a mismatch of skill level and move the slow person to the back. This may seem petty but it's a lot of money to spend so you want a good experience. Otherwise they had fun.
Not well maintained or safe, will not recommend to anyone.

Trails were not well maintained. Deep grooves from tires. Hard to maintain the ATV upright. Not enjoyable at all. First time riding for my son who was trying to slowly get past a particularly challenging part, ATV flipped over him. Both knees badly injured. Guide seemed more concerned about the minor damage to his ATV, didn’t even come once to help my son off the ground or ask if he was okay. Supposed to have a mud mask, which we didn’t. At a few points guide stopped to tell us to take a look around or take pictures. What the heck! I’m very upset.

This was super fun! Lots of mud and great views of Arenal! We saw a couple monkeys and the terrain was breathtaking! My teens loved it!

This was so much fun! Most people in our group had never driven an ATV before so this was perfect for us. Andres was super helpful and kept everyone having a good time. If you’re looking for a fun way to see the volcano (maybe even a spider monkey or two) and have a little fun on ATV’s that aren’t going crazy fast, this is a tour for you! If you’re looking for something really fast and intense, this isn’t for you

It is our idea to go around the farm, and to be able to explain a little and spot flora and fauna, if we go too fast we could lose a little of this.
