More fun than relaxing

We wanted something last minute to do for our final night in La Fortuna. This was a good deal for a dinner (ok buffet) and a number of hot spring pools. The grounds are beautiful and the pools fairly busy until it gets dark when most of the activity gravitates to the wet bar area. We saw fireflies and had a relaxing evening! Viator was great to get us in on this same day.

We had a great time. The pools were well designed and provided private spots. We enjoyed drinks at the wet bar, and later a dinner. Food was very good, and the whole experience was worth the money.

We were very satisfied with the hot springs. There was plenty of space and several pools at different temperatures. The bar at the one pool was convenient and served delicious specialty cocktails. The whole area was covered with vegetation which made it feel like part of the rainforest and not a tourist location. We read that others were not happy with the dinner option so we decided to do lunch there instead and were happy with it. Overall a solid option to kill a few hours while in La Fortuna.

We were pleasantly surprised by both the size and beauty of Paradise Hot Springs. Although there were a number of guests there, there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out in different areas. The loungers in the hot springs were so relaxing as were the loungers around the area. And we loved the swim up bar! Towels are provided if you leave a down payment, which is returned when you return the towels. We had such an incredibly fun and relaxing afternoon!

A little more crowded than I was expecting but most people cleared out by 5 pm. Pools were hot and relaxing but could be overwhelming eventually. Food was ok--fish was good, chicken not so much, standard rice, veggies

Everything was really great! We had gotten the package that includes lunch or dinner and a massage, the massage was absolutely amazing! We really enjoyed it along with the different pools they had to offer with a range of different temperatures. The area itself was so beautiful and had so many gorgeous orchids growing naturally! The bathrooms and shower rooms are very clean so that was a plus also! The only part we weren’t happy with was the food. We opted for dinner and we’re pretty disappointed with what we got. It started with what they described to be a vegetable cream soup, but it was a pumpkin broth that we had to put a lot of salt and pepper and some balsamic and olive oil just to be able to eat it. Then I ordered a steak with fries and salad and my husband got a steak with “grilled” tomatoes and patacones. The steaks were incredibly under seasoned and overcooked, and what threw us off was that they were brown and grey. Very off putting. The tomatoes were not even cooked a little bit, the patacones were dry and flavorless, the fries and salad were the only good things on the plate, but how can you mess that up.
Overall, the experience there was really awesome, just don’t eat the included dinner!

We came to Paradise hot springs during the Easter weekend so it was very crowded. The pools were nice, but when I read about them on line I was led to believe that there were 6 large pools. There were only 2 and the other 4 were small. We enjoyed ourselves but would probably not come back to this particular one again. They were good for the price paid.
