Fun, delicious, and Educational

My daughter and I had a wonderful time on our tour. Our guide, Cesar, was so fun, warm and knowledgeable. The little cafe at the reception area had excellent brownies and ice cream as well.

Yari was a great tour guide with lots of knowledge, enthusiasm, and approachable to answer any questions relating to chocolate or Costa Rica in general. It was a great immersive experience where we were able to be more hands on. And we saw two sloths on the property which was an added plus. They also bring you through the trees, so I would recommend wearing sneakers.

Everything was excellent! Despite a little bit of rain, we did the tour with umbrella as they're prepared for everything. It was a great experience for the whole family, we learned, we tasted the chocolate, we made some and most important, we had fun! Cesar, the tourist guy is amazing! Thank you!

What a fun time! My husband, son & I took this tour while the rest of our family shopped in town. We were so glad we did! It was interesting to learn about how chocolate is grown and then made, and it was fun and yummy making chocolate concoctions!

The farm is very close to La Fortuna. We got there early and were treated to a fruit smoothie and cold water. There is a beautiful balcony overlooking the river and there we waited until the rest of the group arrived. The farm is small and they only grow an amount that is sufficient for local consumption, but it was definitely enough to teach us about the process of making chocolate, and the truth is that it was very interesting. The special part was that our guide was simply hilarious. He activated us and made us laugh and we had a lot of fun. So all in all the experience was very pleasant and entertaining and also enlightening.

This tour was one of the most fun things we did in La Fortuna. Cesar was so much fun! You can tell he really loves what he does. We laughed so much and had such a great time! He was so friendly and taught us so much about the cacao, historical facts about chocolate, and we taste tested any combination of chocolate we wanted. The highlight was opening the cacao and tasting it straight out of the fruit! Amazing! 10/10 recommend!! Cesar if you’re reading this, thank you for the best time! Guanabana!

Amazing experience. The guide was so kind, fun and charismatic that made our tour worth just by itself. The tour is very well planned, you get to learn about chocolate trees and chocolate, and you make and taste a loooooot of chocolate. Was really good. Definitely recomend.

We took the 10am chocolate tour with Caesar. He was engaging from start to finish and made the learning experience so much fun!!! He was full of passion and absolutely hilarious when he sang the chocolate song “ooh ooh latte choco latte” while beating his drum! I highly recommend this tour. My teenagers (ages 16 and 18) both agreed it was an excellent learning experience and a fun tour! Oh and the chocolate was simply delicious!! Make sure you take bug spray for the cacao field and wear closed toe shoes!

This tour was a great experience for us! Friendly hosts welcomed us and served us cold water and natural juice. After that, the guide took us through part of the farm, showing us the types of cacao, and what else there is on the farm and why. After that, we saw the fermentation and drying process of cocoa, and at the very end participated in the tasting and production of chocolate. The tour lasts about 2 hours and is worth every penny.
