Our tour guide Kapio was a very experienced operator. He navigated the drive beautifully, stopped at great places, gave time and accommodated our requests. He made the tour enjoyable for everyone.

We were supposed to be with Aloha Hawaii Tours for the Ultimate Road to Hana and they passed us on to Aloha Sunshine Tours for the Hana's Rainforest and Waterfall Experience. There was a difference in price. The meat on the subs was wrong. We did not get all the stops promised. The driver drove too fast on the road and almost had several accidents. Really crappy experience!!

Kaipo is the BEST driver on Maui! Not once did we feel unsafe! Being native to Maui he is full of history and facts and willing to share! That proud papa knows his stuff! The sites you will see are breathtaking! The road is as described - even with the Dramamine hubby couldn’t handle it! But Kaipo pulled over ( a few times 🫣); even provided him gum and some Hana elixir! The turtles, the black sand beach, the cave - I can’t believe I did that, the VIEWS, the island snacks, the chocolate, banana bread, coconut from someone famous brother, the ribs! 😋 The bus even came with charging outlets for those of us who continually take photos! This tour was well worth it! Hubby recovered for the ride back - that elixir worked! THANK YOU! MAHOLA Kaipo! Keep safe! Much love from your Bermuda friends! ❤️
Misinformation & dishonest handling

My booking was transferred to another tour company under different name. It was very confusing. On top of that the itinerary was different that in original description. 1 out of 5 stops where we were supposed to be for 1h was not realized. I asked for partial refund, without success so far

We had the absolute BEST time on this Road to Hana tour. Our tour guide was amazing, he was very passionate about sharing the beautiful sights and history of Maui with us! He took into consideration what all of the guests wanted to see and did his best to make every one of the stops that we wanted to see. The van was very comfortable. All around an awesome experience and I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to do the Road to Hana!!

If I could give this 10 stars I would 💯. Our friend group had a trip reserved on Friday and we had Dell! He was amazing from beginning to end, I am so glad he survived our group of 8 we are by no means a quiet group lol, he vibed with us and shared so much rich Hawaiian culture and history for us, he is filled with much knowledge and he made our trip so much more fun and memorable!!! Seriously if you get the chance to request a guide ask for Dell!!

The driver drove extremely fast, did not share much knowledge about the island. The so called gourmet lunch was a terrible sandwich from a supermarket. Overall the trip was overpriced. We did not get the correct sandwich we ordered

Beautiful scenery and gorgeous waterfalls. Have driven the Road to Hana once before but didn’t see anything since I had to keep my eyes on the road. Having a driver was much more enjoyable. Our driver Kaipo from Sunshine Tours was a lot f fun and a huge personality.
Best trip ever! Black Sand, Turtles, Waterfalls, Bananna Bread and Coconuts... Oh My!!!

Where to begin... like most I researched online, read many reviews, and ultimately decided on seeing some waterfalls. From what I learned through reviews it made sense to book a trip rather than drive a windy road I was unfamiliar with, and honestly I'm glad I did as that was the smarter choice overall for many obvious reasons. However, from reviews and word of mouth, I knew it all depended on our tour guide! Some try to rush, others are more patient. We got lucky and ended up with a young man by the name of Calvin who was not only knowledgeable, but also kind, patient, and funny. He had all the inside scoops! The trip itself was long and full of stops and took almost a solid 12 hours to complete. The best part of the trip was definitely Black Sands Beach and seeing turtles basking in the sun on the beach in Ho'okipa though for sure. If you're looking for lush green tropical forest with waterfalls along the way, I would highly recommend this trip. Just make sure to ask for Calvin to get the inside scoops!
