This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Cesarine Anna was so friendly and thoughtful. She helped make the experience so much more amazing. The food was “belissimo!” And was so much fun to learn how to make. She also taught us some history of the food we were making and about the different wines we drank with the meal. If you are going to be in Como, we would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!

Loved the recipes and expertise of our teachers. The history of the towns and our host family were charming. Carolina and Simone were such gracious hosts. If my trip was longer I would take another class.

A Fantastic Experience

My two adult children and myself took the cooking class with Simona and Carolina, daughter and Mom at their home in Cantu' Italy. In a nutshell, it was a fantastic experience that brought back memories of my Mom and Grandmother who were both great Italian cooks. Simona and Carolina are not only expert cooks and teachers but also gracious hosts who made us feel comfortable throughout the time we spent with them. After preparing an appetizer, pasta and desert we had sitdown lunch with our hostesses at a lovely dining room table.

Our cesarine Damiano was absolutely fabulous. He is not only a great chef but also warm and personable. It was a very memorable day. The only negative is the communication with Viator was poor. My international phone service wasn't working properly and I thought the meet up place was his home. Luckily we did communicate. Viator should find additional ways of communicating like email between customer and cesarine.

Really enjoyable class, we made a bolognese ragu with fresh pasta which Vincenzo showed us how to make into different shapes and a lemon custard dessert. Vincenzo also made us bruschetta with burrata and sun dried tomatoes as an entree which was delicious! Wine was also provided. We had a great view eating the food on his balcony. Highly recommend!

Valentina was a wonderful teacher! She taught us three yummy traditional, seasonal recipes handed down from her nonna. All very delicious and easy to remake back home. Her home, family, and adored dog were beautiful - my mum and I felt very welcome the whole time. I wish I could do another evening with Valentina 😊

A Honeymoon Must!!

Cooking in Debora’s home was like visiting a friend and making memories in addition to creating a delicious meal! She was so kind in helping us find our way to her spectacular home as we got off at the wrong bus stop. The cooking lesson was informative about more than just the ingredients, and included facts about the region, wine, and Italian music! And the view was breathtaking. We made a new friend!

Nice Experience, Not worth the expense

We enjoyed the evening because we love being together but it was not worth the expense. Four of us had a meager dinner and the only cooking experience was making pasta, which most of us had already done and custard for the dessert which was not remarkable. Save your money, go to a nice restaurant!!!

My review is specifically for Cesarina Roberta, not necessarily my entire experience as I had issues with customer service. I absolutely loved the time we got to spend cooking with Roberta in her home! She was incredibly kind, accommodating, and thoughtful and made the experience feel as if we were friends she welcomed into her home. She’s a wonderful person and I truly enjoyed the time we spent learning from her and swapping stories and conversation. The food and wine were delicious and I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Como! As an added bonus, she also shared the recipes from our class after we arrived home so we could try them on our own. Thanks again for everything, Roberta! :)

We are a family of four traveling on our first trip through Northern Italy, trying to learn about the Italian culture in Lake Como. My daughter Bri came up with the idea to do a cooking class, and fortunately we had a rental car to make the drive to the neighborhood about an hour drive from where we stayed in Nesso. When we got there, we were greeted by a friendly Simona; the friendly daughter of the chef Carolina. They had a giant wood block set up in the kitchen perfectly with all ingredients evenly split into 4 portions for our family. We learned to make homemade pasta all different shapes and sizes and a delicious tiramisu. After everything was cooked to perfection, we sat at the dining room table, drank wine and ate together. We had a fantastic time and Carolina and Simona were wonderful hosts, they made us feel like family. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is looking for a unique and tasty experience.
