We limit the amount of hotels we visit for pickups, so that we can spend more time at the Dam, and less time on the bus doing pickups. Our hotels for pickup are strategically placed up and down the strip including downtown, so your own hotel should be either right next door or a very short walk away from where you will meet the bus.
What To Expect
Following pickup at select Las Vegas hotels, climb in to the climate-controlled vehicle for the drive to the Hoover Dam. Get to know your guide and small group along the way, learning about Hoover Dam history through your guide's commentary.
Upon arrival, start your visit with the Powerplant Tour. Descend 524 feet (160 meters) into the walls of the Black Canyon to see the Nevada Powerwing. Stroll through the generators and see the enormous pipe inside one of the diversion tunnels. After poking around in the depths of the earth, take the elevator back up to the Visitor Center. Get a full picture of the Hoover Damn's history through the exhibits and displays that show the building of the dam and its daily operations.
The highlight of this tour is the Walk on the Top portion: trek over the top of the dam itself. This excursion is one of the only from Las Vegas to offer this option. Stop by the bypass bridge to see the dam from above, before hopping back into your bus to head back to Las Vegas.
During the trip home, stop for lunch to fuel up after your day of learning, seeing and doing.
Your tour concludes with drop-off back at your select hotel in Las Vegas.

One thing to keep in mind - this is a government facility and being able to go inside the dam is sometimes difficult or the lines are long.
Keeping in mind, you may have a long wait in line to do this but you can.
Be sure to allow until 4pm before you are back at the hotel.

Harrison, our tour guide was awesome! He has informative and funny. The tour was perfect timing. Stopping at the bridge to walk up and look out at the Dam was so cool. We took my 88 year old grandma for her bucket list and she enjoyed it so much. Its great for all ages. Pick up right from hotel was fantastic, lunch was free/hot/efficient. Highly recommend this tour.

Dan, the tour guide, made this a superb day. He’s a great comedian and a very nice guy. We have been to Hoover Dam a couple times before - years ago, but this time learned so much history and fun facts about all areas on the tour.
Tom, our driver, was always friendly and welcoming each time we re-entered the bus. And Tom was kind enough to go out of his way to stop at a place where we could get off bus and snap some photos of mountain goats.

Tour from Las Vegas was incredible. First stop at Las Vegas Sign, then a 45 min drive to the Hoover Dam and the bridge. For those who are engineers or architect will enjoy it because the magnitud of labor to build those structures. The guide was funny and polite. Lunch was included in the price and ir was good, you can choose from different options. I recommend this tour for those who come for first time to Las Vegas and want to visit the Hoover Dam.

I had a short time in Las Vegas after a conference. I booked the tour from a web search.
Trever our host was brilliant. Very funny and good at “herding cats” keeping the tour group together. I really enjoyed the diner in Boulder City, if felt like the real America after the artificial glitz of Vegas.
A very friendly group, which was great for a solo traveller.
Absolutely recommend this tour.

Harrison, the guide, and Carlos, the driver were fabulous. Harrison provided a lot of information on the dam. He also gave a lot of information about the surrounding area and sites in Las Vegas on our return trip. And he was very entertaining
