Excellent introduction to Lille

It was a very comfortable introduction in a bus with audioguide and the friendly guide pointing out the highlights to this beautiful city. Just remember to get the tickets first at the tourism office and that you must be 15 minutes before the time at the meeting place. This information was not very clear when we paid for the tour. Recommend this tour for starting to explore Lille.

Excellent tour, don't miss it. Worthwhile booking in advance, it is very popular.

Excellent driver, gave an interesting commentary in addition to the onboard headphone commentary. He started off asking where people were from and told them which audio Chanel to listen to, then did audio test to check sound, controls and volumes before we set off. He explained where we were going to go, history of Lille, the route, and was very good at explaining details about the sights, left or right side of the bus, etc, and stopped so we could take photos. Definitely recommended. One of the best tour guides that we have experienced.

The tour was perfectly fine. Just know that it is all prerecorded in the different languages with the driver periodically pointing to the points of interest as the bus passed them. The driver was very nice as were the people inside the office where you need to go in advance to get your printed ticked. Gives a basic overview of the city but not much depth.

On arriving at Lille there is no street or square location on booking, only phone number. When I showed the Lille tourist shop they were surprised that it was not indicated. Where you have two phone numbers on the same sheet of the booking is on surely one of them could be included.

As this was a second trip to Lille I decided to take a bus tour to explore what I had not seen before. It's a bus tour in which you wear some light earbud type headphones and listen to narration of the city in your specific language. Its was okay, but not five stars. It covered an hours worth of travel around the city. This is great to find your bearings. I would recommend for those who have never been to this city.

The tour was very good but won't be booking with Viators again. According to Viators ticket instructions I could not book a time for my tour or a children's ticket - I had to phone the tourist office in Lille for a tour time slot and they said children's tickets are cheaper and visitor should allow.

Unfortunately we didnt get to go on the 1st April as the bus driver was ill, but our trip was rearranged for 2nd April at 11am. Trip was excellent, very informative and the head sets, with English commentary were cery good and I liked the bits of film that went with it, to show you the inside of some of the buildings.

Plenty of good information but disappointing not to have either a transcript or subtitles for my deaf father which I had alerted on my original booking.Overall the three of us that could hear the audio guide were pleased but couldn't increase this by sharing comments and ideas with the forth member of our party. The driver was extremely courteous and helpful as well as apologetic!

The tourist office was closed until 2pm on Monday 16th March, therefore, the earlier sightseeing tours, had not taken place. The first tour of the day, left at 14.10 and we arrived back at 14.50 Not the hour, we paid for, therefore very disappointing. On going into the Tourist Office on our return, two staff members did not understand what I was complaining about, so we left in disgust. i have been longing to write this review, to air my dissatisfaction.
