Such a great day, an introduction to the cacao three trough a genuine warmth in the storytelling. And lovely chocolate to go with it, we even made it ourselves!
    Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful experience with the cocoa tour. The owner is fabulous and we learned so much and made our own dark chocolate candy.
    Interesting.

Beware!!! There is no milk chocolate only dark chocolate!!! I have to say that this was an experience. The instructor is AMAZING!! She is the sweetest person you could meet. Down to earth, friendly and knowledgeable. But, this wasn't what I expected. It is literally in the outdoors, flies are EVERYWHERE even in the ingredients we were using to make chocolate and it is unsanitary. There were cats literally on the working stations where we were making chocolate and nothing was wiped down or sanitized. There were big animals (dogs) running loose and made me quite uncomfortable. I get it, it is a farm, but if you are running a business and someone is afraid of your animals the proper thing to do is put them away if your client/visitor is uncomfortable who is paying to be there.
    Cacao/chocolate experience

Ancel was very knowledgeable about the history of cacao in Costa Rica. I was fascinated by the evolution of cacao’s usages. She also led me through the process of turning cacao into chocolate and the different paths that process could take yielding different results. If you want a real educational experience and end up with some delicious chocolate at the end I highly recommend this experience.
