What To Expect

Get into the holiday spirit with an enchanting bike ride through London at Christmastime. Head to Lambeth in the afternoon to meet your guide and get fitted with a rental bike and helmet, then set off on a leisurely ride along cobbled alleyways, bike paths, and side roads. 

Delight in the sparkle of Christmas lights as you pedal past illuminated attractions like the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye. Continue to Sloane Square, where boutiques bedecked in twinkling lights beckon curious patrons, and pass the magnificent displays at England’s famous Harrods department store. 

You’ll stop at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, London’s spectacular Christmas attraction. Pedal past Christmas stands, visit the model bavarian village and warm yourself with a spicy cup of mulled wine. Marvel at the many themed bars like the ‘Swiss Chalet’ and check out seasonal attractions like the ice rink and the giant observation wheel. 

The final leg of your tour takes you to the West End, where you’ll coast through the upscale shopping district that encompasses Regent, Oxford, Bond and Carnaby Streets. World-famous for its holiday presentation, this central shopping area glitters with colored light and decorations. See beautifully adorned window displays and feel the buzz of holiday shopping. From there, make your way back to Lambeth, passing through Covent Garden’s charming Christmas market on the way. 

Your 3-hour bike tour ends at the departure point in the evening.

Had a great time! Our guide, Felix, was very informative and friendly to all. If you're not confident on a bike or on London streets at night, this is probably not for you. You are moving most of the night and riding on some major roads. The lights were beautiful, but would have liked a bit of extra time to stop and take photos where possible.

Felix was an excellent guide. He was always conscience of the group and their safety, and he was very polite with pedestrians and drivers we encountered. On top of that, he was a fount of knowledge about London send it's neighborhoods!

Take the tour before you see the sights. Our mistake was that we took the tour after we had been to many places, so we hadn't seen too many new things however riding the bike around town was fun. Because of the amount of traffic in the West End at night at Christmas, it can be a little tricky getting around, but the guide is skilled in keeping the group together and getting in and out of traffic. The guides were fun and it was a good time.

Felix was terrific -- a great tour guide who related the history of our sites with knowledge, wit and personality. I admit the London traffic both pedestrian and motor was intimating - it was very crowded on boxing day but Felix got us through safely. Would definitely chose him as a tour guide again but must admit I enjoyed the back streets more than the streets crowded with traffic.

My husband and I took this tour at the end of November . We were worried about the predictable bad weather, fortunately it only rained for a small portion of the trip. This is a wonderful way to see what a magical city London is. It really helped me get more familiar with the layout of the land . So different to experience it by bicycle. We were a small group, just five, including our very knowledgeable guide. Always be ready for rain, don't forget a waterproof jacket with a hood. We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Biking in London is definitely an experience! I was the only one booked for my day (probably due to it being a Monday), so it turned out to be a private tour. My guide was fun and knowledgeable, also watching out for my safety in rush hour traffic...he even had a flat tire and was apologetic, (so a bit of down time) but I walked around taking pics as he fixed his flat and he extended the trip. I highly recommend this trip to anyone, especially if you want some exercise as you sight see, learn about certain landmarks, and it's a great way to familiarize yourself with different areas of the city!

This was a most interesting tour, visiting in a short time many more places than could have been visited on foot. The guide was expert at keeping the group, which included some quite inexperienced riders, together, in the very busy pre-Christmas crowds. His commentary at stopping points was, of necessity, brief but always relevant. Some of the bikes would have benefitted from some mechanical attention prior to the ride.
