What To Expect

Authentic Experience in London’s East End

Isaac gave us a wonderful food and history tour of London’s East End. We explored a variety of tasty and generous portions in some of the area’s traditional establishments, learned interesting historical facts, and thoroughly enjoyed his great sense of humour!

It exceeded my expectations, especially the entertainment. The singer was so professional. Wait staff were attentive, kind, efficient. Dance floor was great and ride was so smooth. Food and as also good. Especially liked the house whit wine.

Had a great time exploring East London and eating some incredible food. Isaac was an excellent guide—animated and easy to listen to. I’ve been to London before, but never ventured to the East. I’m so glad I did this tour because I’ve been missing out. East London has so much character—I enjoyed hearing the history and again, the food was great. The one thing I would note is that it says beer/wine is included in the “what’s included” description, but it’s not. The beverage provided is a breakfast tea at the end, which was actually really tasty. Not a big deal, tour doesn’t need alcohol, but I just figured I’d mention it in case people are looking out for it.

Tour guide, Niall, was well informed & knowledgeable. He had a lovely way of expressing himself. The tour was well paced. It also included history of the local area & the food was totally amazing. My tip: don’t eat too much before the tour! Highly recommended

Fantastic tour!! Issac was wonderful…gave interesting stories about the areas we walked through (to me food tours are about more than the food). My husband has some mobility issues and walks very slowly so we always lag behind. Issac made sure to wait so we didn’t get too far behind. Five of the six selected restaurants were excellent. The one outlier was the National dish of fish & chips. Our tiny portion of the fish and chips was dry and lukewarm but the full portions they served to other customers looked amazing. The portions were perfect size except for the fish & chips where I think we got shortchanged a bit (it was literally two small bites). We even got to take our leftover beigel sandwich home and had it for dinner!

Dave was a fantastic guide - funny, informative, friendly. Accommodated my daughter’s vegetarian needs, worked with the destinations to prepare special versions. We’ve done good tours before and we’ve found the guide makes it breaks the tour - Dave makes it. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dave to anyone else.

Dave was the perfect guide - personable, articulate, knowledgeable and entertaining. very knowledgeable about the local history, he made the tour experience most enjoyable and memorable, despite the rainy London weather. the food was quite enjoyable, notably the sweets “Apple Crumble” and “Sticky Toffee Pudding” and outstanding curry at Aladin.

This tour was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Dave, our tour guide, was amazing. He added lots of little facts about streets, buildings, art etc. It wasn’t just a tour to try local foods it was a history of the East End. If you take this tour be sure to ask for Dave.

One of the better food tours we have experienced. Not only was the food delicious, the history lesson of the East End of London we received from our guide Nial was exceptional. He truly made this a highlight of our trip. We never would’ve known this area of London existed if we had not joined this delightful tour. We also lucked out with the nice people in the group. We had some delicious bites in the East End and our guide Madilyn was great. She is from the East End and loves it so it shows. Her stories of the history of the area were great. This area was very busy so sometimes it was a little hard to hear. Highly recommend for adults.
