What To Expect

Select your tour option on booking. Then, after pickup from the central London meeting point, settle into your air-conditioned coach and head for St. Paul's Cathedral, where you'll spend the morning exploring. Make a photo stop to see Westminster Abbey, where you can admire the outside of this 13th-century Gothic church, the site of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s marriage in 2011.

Continue to Buckingham Palace, the Queen’s official London residence, to see the Changing of the Guard. Watch this centuries-old ceremony as the soldiers of The Queen’s Guard, dressed in red tunics and bearskin hats, exchange places with the new guard to military music.

Move on to the Tower of London, the 11th-century fortress that looms over the Thames River. Spend some free time in the area exploring or having lunch, then meet back up with your group for a tour of the forbidding UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll around history-steeped sites such as Traitor’s Gate, inspect the gruesome torture exhibits at the Wakefield Tower, and check out the Crown Jewels – the magnificent symbols of royal power that are still used by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Board a boat for an extended sightseeing trip down the River Thames. Cruise down the river, looking out for the top London attractions such as Tower Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe, and then step out onto dry land. 

Finish your tour at London Eye or alternatively, upgrade to finish on a high note with one of two optional activities. Options include a cream tea with at Harrods restaurant or a must-do London Eye flight, for picture-perfect views over the capital. Both activities include transport to the attraction, but no transport back. Harrods cream tea includes Home-baked English Scones served with clotted cream and preserves, choice of tea from Harrods own tea gardens plus a glass of sparkling wine.

Please note: On days when the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace does not take place, you will simply enjoy a photo stop at the palace.

It would be nice if it started a little later since it’s hard to find the couch gate.
The Eye of London is over sold, it is not that exciting and it is expensive.
A great way to see lot in London with limited time and a must if you're traveling in the summer, so crowded!

Large bus tour but a good overview of London for first time visitors. Guide was personable but was not able to hear him at the sites as the group was too large. Audio box would be much better.

We had a really great experience. John (our guide) was really informative. He was quite hard to hear but no fault of him. It was just so loud, so unfortunately we missed out on some of his insight. But really enjoyed seeing the wonderful city of London. Highly recommend this tour

Peter was a great guide. Kept the tour lively and made the long day well worth it. The Tower of London was more than we expected and was a lovely treat. Unfortunately the changing of the guard was cancelled at the last moment, but that was out of the tours control.

John was a very knowledgeable guide with an entertaining sense of humor. Missing the changing of the guard was no one’s fault as the schedule is out of the tour guides hands. Also the Westminster Abby inside tour is not part of this tour. St Paul’s inside tour is very worth the trip as is the overview of the Tower of London. Ample time allowed to roam inside on your own after the overview. Our only complaint would be the mass confusion first thing in the morning with many tours launching at the same time. Also our group Was too large to address outdoors without an amplifying device. Many struggled to follow along.
Magical London in a day

When you visit London, either the first time or the 10th, don't miss the tour of the city! So much history and sights. John our tour guide was fantastic! We started out on a coach for the morning and after seeing so many sights including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's and many more. John explained the history of what we were seeing and was very knowledgeable. We were dropped off and the Tower of London were we had lunch and then toured the Tower including the Crown Jewels. We had lots of time to see the sights and then after, we boarded a river boat for a cruise on the Thames. The boat mate that described the sights was so funny. We had wonderful weather, yes no rain, and it was a great way to relax and enjoy the sights of London. After the river tour ended, we opted for tea at Harrods. Others on the tour rode on the London Eye, it's your choice. We left John and went with another guide named Clive. He also was great. We drove to Harrods in an old time double decker bus. Tea and scones was a great way to end the tour. Thank you Premium Tours and John and Clive.

Coach tour .. mostly drive by, not baby photo opportunities, 2 visits st souls and Tower of London. Disappointed no changing of the guard (need to exclude this from the tour write up) as it is misleading. Tour guide was good

While we saw some great sites in London we were not impressed with the way we saw them or the guide. It was a large group, at times we couldn't even hear her. She really should have had a headset she used along with ear pieces for the guests. We seemed to circle around the same areas. It could have been planned out a bit better.

Good overview of the city and the attractions. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We spent a great deal of time in the bus vs visiting the attractions. One member of our group was late returning to the bus at our first stop and it caused unrecoverable delays the remainder of the day including; missing the changing of the guard, waiting 2.5 hours to see the Crown Jewels and ultimately having to decide to abandon our group tour to see things on our own.
