Be careful when purchasing this ticket. I purchased a ticket for a panoramic view of the lights for my family and was told it was only for the lower deck. They claim it was on the booking and voucher, but wasn’t. Needless to say we were very disappointed with the limited view of the lights. I would’ve never purchased if I had know this was the view I would get.

The problem with this tour is that the traffic in London is just so ridiculously horrible that you could easily do the entire route in about a third of the time on foot, with breaks to warm up and shop or get coffee. Unless you’re immobile, save your money.

We got some info about some places we drove past, but generally very little information about the places, landmarks, etc. that we drove by, and when we received some information it was often repeated numerous times. It was too much focus on upscale things and not the histories that bring buildings and landmarks to life. I always attend guided tours when I travel and expect more information provided than this tour did. London is packed with history and culture, and to include some shouldn't be hard.

The positive of this tour was that we seen lots of beautiful lights and the tour guide was funny and provided lots of historical information. The negative was that it lasted significantly less time than advertised. We were done in just over an hour. Also, we ended up having to separate from friends that we traveled with due to people smoking on the bus.

Great tour riding around the bustling streets of London during the holiday season. This is a city that takes holiday decorating very seriously. I’m from NYC and have seen some spectacular displays but London takes the lead. Guide was witty and knowledgable and we really enjoyed the evening. Dress warm!!!

So much fun and so many beautiful lights !!! This was made even better by the enthusiastic tour guide - traffic was horrendous and we came across a crash and a closed road but our guide and driver worked together to minimize the delay and re-routed us so it almost seemed as if it was a normal part of the tour - very fun !

Holiday lights with unexpected Albanian Independence Day celebration

Driver and guide were expert safe and hardworking on the Christmas lights tour, which net at a designated bus stop one block over from the London Eye. Last nights tour occurred on Albanian Independence Day which , annually, is absolute madness with hundreds of people gathering, lighting off copious fireworks and densely cruising, honking celebrating and hanging outside cars, sunroofs, and waving flags and showing off cars bedecked with special Albania flag bonnet covers, upright flags, and lights. Traffic blocked for ages. That aside, the lights were lovely, open air viewing fun and got to have a great vantage point of viewing historical sites and shopping areas with great, spirited education.

Most impressive lights were in one area around Leicester but we went all over and traffic was so bad the trip was 2 hrs instead of 45 minutes

Truly awful! The weather was horrid and the seats under the shelter were taken so we sat in the wind and rain. That was on us, but we thought at least we would get the sights and info about where we were. Instead, we got what I'm sure our guide thought was a witty and pithy commentary about whatever it was we were seeing. Very little information about the areas. For example: "We're now passing Trafalgar Square" But nothing about the area, why it was called that, etc. The little info he did give us about Trafalgar Square was when it was already behind us. And no heads ups about what was coming and missed many landmarks. We were past Big Ben by the time we realized it was there. And almost missed many pretty lighted side-streets. And lots of whining about having had no Christmas Lights in past years. He was truly a mess. Was dismissive about the attempts to save energy by turning them out at 11pm and seemed to think it was for show. All in all a pretty dispiriting excursion.
