What To Expect

Begin in central London when you hop inside your comfortable, air-conditioned coach. Meet your friendly, local guide, and then sit back and enjoy the sights on a panoramic drive around the heart of this historical city.

See the iconic Big Ben and Houses of Parliament in Parliament Square, and snap pictures of Westminster Abbey where Prince William and Kate Middleton were married in a grand ceremony in April 2011.

Then, gaze up at Nelson’s Column in buzzing Trafalgar Square, and drive to Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Walk to the palace gates to watch the Changing of the Guard. Look on in delight as the soldiers of the Queen’s Foot Guard, clothed in red tunics and bearskin hats, exchange duties to the regal music of a military band, and learn about this centuries-old ceremony from your guide.

Next, continue by coach to a cozy London pub in Trafalgar Square. Sit down to a tasty lunch (own expense) and then pick up your tour again in the City of London. Located east of the West End, and famous for its financial institutions, this history-steeped district is home to the Bank of England and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Hop out for fast-track entry and a guided tour of St. Paul's Cathedral.

Afterward, pay a visit to the Tower of London, the medieval prison-fortress that stands on the north banks of the Thames River. Head inside to explore independently, and learn about the tower’s blood-soaked history. Founded in the 1080s by William the Conqueror, this imposing complex has served as a palace, armory, prison and execution site, and is known for its ravens and colorful Beefeater guides.

If you wish, join one of the complimentary Beefeater tours that run regularly from inside the gates. Learn about the famous events that took place here, and hear some of the mysteries that still haunt the complex.

Before your tour ends, receive a complimentary ticket for a sightseeing cruise on the Thames River, from the Tower of London to Westminster Pier.

  • Please note: St Paul’s Cathedral is closed to the public on Sundays and for special events or services (Closed on June 6, 7, 24 : July 1 & Oct 11). On these days we will stop for photographs outside St Paul's Cathedral and spend longer at Tower of London instead.
  • You can choose to take the river cruise on another day and finish the tour at the Tower of London instead of Westminster Pier. The London Eye is a Standard Experience booked at a 6pm time-slot for guaranteed entry (if option selected).
  • Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace takes place on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (subject to availability).

This was a great tour and worth every penny. We had a great guide who spoke several languages and had a great knowledge of history. You got to see so much both on and off the bus. This is a must do for sure

We were able to see the Royal Carriage leaving Buckingham Palace. Our guide took a few extra minutes when she found out the carriage was coming and had us run down to see it.

Too Rushed

Leslie was a fabulous tour guide. The driver was awesome. However, Too little focus on the church and castle. Too much city driving. FORGET the LONDON EYE option you will never make it. You get left at the castle by the guide at the end of the day to find your way back. You don’t get dropped off at the same pick up point.

Too many activities and do not have time. Went to Changing of the guard too late. Only see people and did not see the guard. Later the bus did not show up had to walk 15 minutes to office while it was raining. Visit ST Paul Cathedral walking thru inside less than 30 minutes and did not have time to take any photos. Tour guide just taking us inside Tower of London for 10 minutes and let us free on our own. There were only 1 hour left and we had to catch the River cruise to London Eye before 6:00 PM on time. There were many towers but only went to 2 because had trouble to find the way to those towers.

Not for slow walkers!

I would like to give this tour a better rating because we did see everything listed on the information page, however viator did not correctly identify that this is not a good tour for people with mobility issues. The first thing our tour guide said when she saw we used walking sticks (canes) was that we would have problems because there was fast walking and lots of stairs. She was very nice but dismayed because we slowed her down somewhat on a very tight schedule. Again, she was very nice and tried to make the tour work for us but we could hardly keep up wth the group.

Seeing Buckingham Palace, The Cathedral, the Tower and London. I wish the palace would have been opened and that we could have seen the changing of the guard. I also wish we could have seen the Crown Jewels, but they had been taken for the coronation. None of this was the fault of our tour guide.

Great tour around London with Lesley as a knowledgeable guide. St Paul's was beautiful, Tower of London bigger than we thought and loved seeing what we could of the Crown Jewels (however lots were missing because they were out for the coronation), and we did not get to see the changing of the Guard because they were prepping for the coronation, but we did get to see the Horse Guard practice in full regalia, which was very impressive.

This is a wonderful tour I would recommend to everyone to explore London for a full day. Our guide Ursula was amazing! Very knowledgeable and lots of fun. The Coach is very confortable too. We loved St. Paul Cathedral, the Tower of London and specially the change of guard at Buckingham Palace.

too much for one day

the crown jewels were the most memorable thing. the changing of the guard wss alson interesting bbut difficult to reallly see because of restrictioons to access. Our guide< Godfrey, seemed very kniwkedgeable but walked too fast for us to keep up.

Sheila was a fabulous fun tour guide. It was nice to have time to get lunch. The sights were great and it didn’t feel as rushed however I do wish we had more time at Tower of London. We only had time to see the Jewels. I’d recommend if you want to see some sights together.

A Great Way To See London

Had a grand time on my tour. Two thumbs up to our driver, Edris , who could back a bus through the eye of a needle and our guide, Sheila who was a walking Wikipedia. The coach bus was very clean and comfortable. The tour started out with a panoramic view around London. We visited so many incredibly interesting site before even going to Buckingham Palace for guard change. Even with all the road closures and detours , both on the way and at Buckingham Palace due to the upcoming coronation. Sheila and Edris managed to maneuver us right on through. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was not disappointed. I never got bored, maybe tired at the end of the day but not bored., There is a lot of walking on this tour so just prepare and wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

Good, but we were rushing everywhere

Guide EXTREMELY knowledgeable, however it was rush..rush...Rush. Did not take in account traffic and roadwork and it put us way behind schedule. Missed first part of Changing of the guard. Very rushed.

Our tour guide Ursula was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and professional. Kept on schedule despite working around the protest and blocked roads. Unable to see the changing of the guard due to security preparations for coronation but the parade was lovely.

Nice way for tourists to spend they day

Long day! lots of highlights!, but a bit too much time spent on bus driving around the city streets over & over. Some of that May have been due to traffic. Excellent tour guide who shared so much information & details about the city. Could have used a longer lunch break, was very rushed & guide did have any suggestions for places to eat even though description said 1 hour stop for lunch at a pub was included. We were dropped off outside their offices for 30 minutes & had to find a quick bite. We had a great day & saw most of what was described in the tour description. You are left at the end of the tour in a different location than where you boarded. I suggest waiting to buy London eye ticket to see what weather is like. Unfortunately we had a rainy afternoon & We purchased ahead & it was pouring waiting in line & couldn’t see much due to fog/rain. They sell tickets there you could always add on. Overall nice way to see the city’s main attractions & hear some history.
