Your visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour begins with departure from London by double-decker bus for the drive from the city to the town of Watford in Hertfordshire, where the studio is located. Hop out of the coach and head inside to immerse yourself in all things Harry Potter.
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter allows you to walk around independently to see real sets used in the Harry Potter movies, including the Great Hall and Dumbledore’s office. Check out the storefronts of Flourish and Blotts, Ollivanders wand shop, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, and Eeylops Owl Emporium as you explore Diagon Alley, pretending that Harry, Hermoine, and Ron are right by your side.
Learn about the special effects and makeup that brought spells and beloved characters like Dobby to the screen, and see costumes and props used by the actors. Don’t-miss photo ops abound, so don’t forget to charge your camera!
Your experience ends at Platform 9 ¾ , where you can pose with a luggage cart as it disappears into the wall and enjoy an up-close view of the original Hogwarts Express train, whose 78-year-old engine billows steam. You can cancel up to 4 days in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 4 full days before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 3 full days before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 3 full days before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Terrible transportation communication

My adult daughter and I attended this trip. The bus to the Harry Potter museum was on time but no one to greet us 30 min prior. Unsure why they had us wait the 30 min. We got on the bus but verified our tickets with the agent. He handed us a wrist band to return in the same bus. Found out later the wrist band had a return time in it in small print. Didn’t tell us the time was listed on the band. Were dropped off at museum without a single word from agent/driver. Found our way to front door of museum without direction on where to enter or return directions. Bus was at least 30 min late after museum closing. We watched employees leave for the day. Driver dropped us off at a different dark location than what was documented but driver never said a word. Just stopped. We all had to just figure out to get out Gashed my forehead on its side mirror as it was too dark to see it coming off bus. The Harry Potter museum was fine. Great if you’re a big Harry Potter fan.

Overall just a fun day. The sets were amazing and the action venues were cool. Plan yo spend at least 4 hours to see it all.

We had some trouble with getting to the meet up spot, but we were still able to go directly to the studio and collect our tickets there, along with riding back to the meeting point at the end. We had about 4 hours to go through the tour and also spend some time in the shops at the end to pick up souvenirs. We got back with enough time to do some more sight-seeing afterward and was a very fun experience overall!

it was awesome! the studio tour is so so so cool i would 100% recommend this to anyone who is a harry potter fan it was incredible! the meeting spot was a little difficult to find but the bus ride there and back was very easy and super convenient. highly recommend!

Awful Viator experience, great Harry Potter experience. The WB visit was great throughout, but as far as getting there and back, just do it on your own and do not use Viator. Their instructions on what to do with the “voucher” (“what voucher?” I was told when I checked in) and what to do with the tickets did not reflect instructions given. Also, we were late departing to the Harry Potter experience. Once given our wristbands we were given a time to catch the bus back that was extremely early. That meant rushing thru WB, forget about enjoying it at a comfortable pace. Once contacted by me, Viator blamed the transportation company. If that’s the case, I think Viator should disclose that the time allowed for the experience will not be enough (not all the hours they advertise) and you will just be worrying all day having to rush thru to avoid missing the bus back.

The studios are exceptional and worth the trip to see the many, many things that went into creating and producing the Harry Potter films! Highly recommend. However, have lower expectations for the bus rides. There are screens to watch for each seat … but the HP movie soundtrack did not match the actions and it was very annoying. Also, our friends had problems with their tickets and we almost got separated. The bus itself is new and was clean.
