What To Expect

Greet your gastronomical guide in central Madrid and set out to explore the esteemed eateries of the city. As you stroll, listen to your guide’s culinary commentary of the capital, hearing about the origin of tapas and the inspiration for the delicate dishes.

Visit several bars during your tapas tour, all of which showcase the influence that Madrid’s immigrant population has had with their cosmopolitan cuisine. A great way to experience the traditional food, wines, restaurants, neighborhoods and local history with your best New friends from around the world. Manfred did an excellent job of describing the food, history and recommending local wines to pair with the tastings. He also added a very welcoming atmosphere for everyone so that we talked, laughed and had a wonderful time. We would definitely do this one again.

This has got to be the BEST food tour…ever! Eva was an amazing tour guide and the four tapa’s restaurant around Madrid we fabulous. All four places served great and different tapas so by the end of the night you had 12 different types of tapas and wine at each location. Definitely do this tour!

This was an awful experience. The places were so loud you couldn’t hear and there wasn’t any seating. The Tapas were served family style instead of individually - which felt unsafe with people we didn’t know. We left early because it was all so uncomfortable

We had 4 stops for wine and tapas. Each bar was authentic, welcoming & different. All the tapas was delicious and our guide was great at explaining the wine options at each. For one bar she recommended vermouth and it went well with the garlic shrimps. Small group of 12 who got on so well. Perfect Madrid afternoon experience.

It's really hard to know exactly which places have the best tapas, there are just so many around. This tour takes you to places that have incredible food, history, and differing (but all awesome) vibes. The most memorable part of my experience was having white Vermouth on tap. A "Casa de el Abuelo" (same place as the vermouth), we had garlic prawns which were scrumptuous. The guide, Marina, was very helpful and all the tapas and drinks were amazing!
