Meet up is at Makena Landing Park. We will text your cell phone with a pinned google map location the day before the tour. Our company truck is a navy blue ford with clear kayak stickers on both sides. If you need to catch an Uber then book the day before (not the morning of).

Individual weight limit is strictly 220 lbs due to the nature of our clear kayaks. If you weigh over 220 lbs, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation. This is for your own safety. We have 1 single non-clear kayak available per trip that doesn't have such a strict weight limit. This needs to be reserved ahead of time. It is company policy for our tour guides to weigh each individual using scales at the meeting location on the day of the tour. If you report your weight incorrectly and then weigh over the limit on the day then we will not be able to accommodate you and you will receive no refund. Please contact us if you have questions about weight distribution before booking.
Weight limit for tandem kayak is 420 lbs *Individual weight limit of 220 lbs still applies. You will automatically be assigned a tandem kayak for a booking of 2 adults. We are a small company and only have a limited number of clear kayaks for each tour.
If you have ANY medical conditions we need to be made aware of for your safety (including if you are pregnant) or if you have dietary restrictions then please advise us of this via email.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travellers. If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Enjoyed the colorful fish, unique coral formations and the turtles. Very early morning start to trip, but necessary because the reef is located right off of the road and it gets crowded by late morning. Beautiful somewhat remote location. Clear kayaks are really canoes, wider and harder to paddle in than standard kayaks, and a bit more prone to flooding. However, pretty cool to see the reef glide by beneath your feet.

The clear kayak seemed to be less stable and less comfortable than a regular kayak. Also we were unable to see much through the kayak bottom. The snorkeling was just ok, and we actually saw more fish and sea turtles in other beaches (such as Napili bay). The guiding itself was not as informative as we expected, and the guide didn’t seem to be enthusiastic. Next time I would choose a snorkeling boat tour to hopefully get us to a better snorkeling site.

Aloha Shoshana thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that the tour didn't meet your expectations. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather and there was swell on the days before your tour, which was causing poor visibility at some of the snorkel locations at Olowalu. The tour guide on the day of your tour chose the safest snorkel area with the best visibility on the day of your tour. We did receive great feedback from other guests on the same tour, however I understand everyone has different expectations. This spot is known for colourful fish, sea turtles and sometimes we get blessed with seeing a resident monk seal. Our kayaks do not tip over like regular ocean kayaks so I am not sure what you mean about the kayak feeling less stable, however I am sorry to hear you felt this way in our kayaks. Seeing through the kayak on the day of your tour would have been impacted by the swell leading up to the tour, which unfortunately we cannot control. Thank you again for your feedback and we have taken on board your comment regarding the guide not being as informative or enthusiastic on the day. We provide regular training to our tour guides to make sure they are educated on a range of interesting facts about Maui that they can share with guests and feedback so far has always been that are guides are very informative. Excellent choice for a snorkeling tour - awesome guides and see-thru canoes

My mom and I had a spectacular experience kayaking and snorkeling with our guides Curtis and Andrew and the rest of the group! This was a great way to wade into our Maui trip. Curtis and Andrew were super friendly, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. They took us out to some beautiful spots and it was obvious they were experienced not only with this particular tour but with seafaring in general. Felt super comfortable following their guidance. They were patient with the stragglers and flexible enough to split up the group as needed so everyone got the amount of time they wanted out on the water. Gear quality was great and the clear kayaks are the icing on the cake. We were also blessed with great weather (which we know isn't always the case and is outside any tour guide's control) and even got to see a Monk Seal. Afterward the guides were happy to share advice on planning the rest of our stay on the island, which we listened to and it made our trip even better than we had planned! Mahalo guys!

A must if you’re visiting Maui

We got engaged the night before and started our morning with kayaking the next day. Although we initially considered canceling and sleeping in, we are so glad we forced ourselves out of bed to do the kayaking and snorkeling. Curtis and Kyle were fantastic guides, and we couldn’t believe how closely we were able to get to turtles and wildlife. Absolutely loved it.

Curtis is a master of his craft! Professional and friendly, with great knowledge of the islands. He was able to instruct and guide our group while keeping it fun and informative. Great for the inexperienced kayaker/snorkeler, and for the experienced ones as well. Saw a couple of turtles as we had hoped for! The Olawalu Reef is beautiful, and the clear kayaks give you an excellent view of whats beneath the water whole on the move. Beautiful views of the West Maui Mountains, perfect way to spend a morning on the water! This is a must-do on Maui… Mahalo !

A different way to view the coral reef and fish, maybe even a turtle

Glass bottomed boats are great for viewing in addition to the snorkeling. However they need a better way to identify their location for meeting. No signs or people telling you where they are in the parking area. They also did not check the equipment before handing it out . We ended up with a children's set that had to be replaced after we were on the water. Inspire of this a very different and good experience.

Very sorry to hear that you were handed a child set of gear but I am glad the situation was rectified before you snorkelled. Apologies about the parking. The state of Maui will not allow us kayak and snorkel companies to put a sign up. Our tour guides wait at the entrance of the car park at 6:45am to direct people to parking. I apologize the guide was not waiting when you arrived as he must have been busy with other guests. We are now parking at a different location, opposite a mile marker on the highway, so I send photos of that to our guests in a text message prior to their tour.
