Our weekend getaway to...

Our weekend getaway to McLaren Vale for a winery tour was absolutely fantastic, and a big part of that was our awesome driver Nick. Right from the start, he greeted us with a friendly smile that set the tone for the day. He knew McLaren Vale wine very well, sharing fun facts and stories that made each winery visit even more enjoyable. He also made sure we went to wineries that matched our tastes, which was a thoughtful touch. And let's not forget the stunning McLaren Vale scenery!

Had a lovely day out in a small group - us and another couple who were really easy to get along with - so that helped. George was a lovely guide and managed to squeeze in my favourite winery in the end. Thanks for a great day! Definitely recommend.

It was a mum and daughter day out. Each winery was different yet special in its own way. Our driver tailored our experience expertly and finishing at the gin distillery was the icing on the cake Thank you Nick

Tour host was great and wineries visited were great, but I had to give it only a three as booked as a luxury small number wine tour. As it was my wife and I I didn't expect just a car with me and her, but to have a six eater with 3 seats facing backwards so that all six faced each other and your knees touched made it a little uncomfortable and too close for comfort with strangers. There were 5 in our car a group of three and me and my wife. Probably would be fun if you were a group of 4 together, but 5 or 6 and strangers was not great. All in all was a good day. 3 is probably a little low but 4 was too high. My wife and I did a Barossa tour the next day that was through a different company. all forward facing sats and only 4 but could hav taken 8. driver said he only takes 6 and it is his business , for comfort levels. Also for same price, lunch was better standard - not a platter- wineries were testing fees waved and driver more informative

Thanks for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your day out and found the tour host and wineries visited great.
We have operated Mercedes Benz vehicles for 15 years and this is the first complaint about vehicle size we have ever received. The six rear seat’s do face one another for the guests convenience. They do have an option to be like a normal bus however we find the interactive seating easier for the guests to get in and out of and conversations easier within the group. There are also two seats in the front of the vehicle which you could have sat in but then you would have been close to the driver!
I think the best option for you would have been an exclusive tour however you chose shared and obviously this tour didn’t suit.
We have no control over tasting fees.

Had an absolute blast with Greg visiting 5 different spots throughout mclaren vale. After conversation Greg made some cellar door reccomendations that were spot on and we went home very happy with many bottles of wine. Beautiful platter lunch as well. Highly reccomend and we will definitely return!

The host Nick and crew at Confessions were very friendly making for a fun and memorable day getting into wine ferments from grape to ready for casking. Wide range of wines tasted. Huge day and looked after extremely well - thanks Nick and Confessions
