Lots of gems on the way to Adelaide
Tania_Z, Jan 2023
As honeymooners from Canada, we wanted to get from Melbourne to Adelaide but we weren't sure if we could drive Great Ocean Drive all by ourselves. We signed up for this 3 day bus tour and it turned out to be a great idea. There were many little scenic stops we would not have known about, such as Loch Ard Gorge, and the charming town of Warnambool. Blinky our tour guide was friendly and professional, and a skilled driver as well. He was very good at catering to the entire group of about 20 people, of different ages and demographics. On the most difficult stop of the trip, the Grampian Pinnacle Hike, he was very good at mentally preparing the group to stick together as a family, as there were both seniors and children present. If it weren't for his leadership, some of the more athletic hikers would have probably run ahead and scattered the group. He was able to keep an eye out on everyone's individual needs. He could see that my partner and myself were not struggling with the terrain of the hike, but that we were interested in seeing wildlife, especially reptiles, and pointed them out to us whenever he could. It ended up being a great bonding experience for everyone. The two motel rooms we got were very nice, definitely more than satisfied our expectations. The breakfasts and group bbq were very tasty and well-planned as well, with some alternatives available for people who wanted something different. We saw kangaroos, emus, cockatoos, and koalas along the way. On the last long drive to Adelaide, something was slowing down the engine of the bus, and Blinky was able service it himself and get us on our way without much delay. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see some great iconic sights along Great Ocean Road without too much worry! Thank you, Blinky!
I booked for twin sharing...

I booked for twin sharing and the accommodation was pretty decent. Me and son enjoyed the trip with our guide Blinky. He took good care of the group and will recommend places to eat. He did some nice BBQ for us too. The experience of having picnic breakfast at the park was nice as we were able to see emus, kangaroos, wallabies, koalas etc while having our breakfast l. The Grampian trekking was challenging but worth the effort. Overall it is a great experience to go for.
Great trip!

I absolutely recommend this tour, I had a great time, and we were very luck to have our guide Blinky who really went above and beyond to keep us entertained and gave great explanations.
Good but bring your own towel!
Ezequiel_H, Mar 2020
Despite some unavoidable weather challenges (lots of fog while on scenic Great Ocean Rd), this was a great trip. Definitely recommend, but be aware that the accommodations are at youth hostels. You're sharing a dorm with bunk beds with a bunch of other people. I was staying at hotels before and after this tour so I didn't have my own towel to bring along, and didn't realize I'd need one. I would have liked to get my own room, but Viator wasn't able to do it by email, required a phone call - why? Most people on tour were in their early to mid 20's. Tour guide was great.

Hi Zico, and thank you for your review! The tree day tour does have an option of a private room upgrade, but not all travel agents offer this options, in which case you would need to book it directly with us the tour operator. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the adventure and our guide took good care of you! We wish to see you again on our tours in the future!
Great way to see Australia
Barbara, Feb 2020
Loved our 3 day adventure with Bec! We were looking to get out and see some of Australia's country and wildlife and this tour delivered. Having 3 days to really explore and enjoy the views both on the coast and hiking in the Grampians was a highlight of our trip to Australia. It is really special to see the Koalas, Kangaroos, wallabies and Emus out in their natural environment. The accommodation, while a bit more rustic than we are accustomed to, was clean and comfortable. Appreciated the well planned itinerary and pit stops along the way. We never felt that we were too long or too short on time anywhere, or too long on the bus. Highly recommend this tour for anyone with a sense of adventure and wanting to really see Australia, rather than just the big cities.

Best trip ever!

My sister and I booked this tour and had the best time with Jiri and the other travelers. We had a great group of people and got to see some amazing places along the Great Ocean Road and in the Grampians. Our guide was highly organized with timing and meals and accommodated our need for gluten free food. We learned so much about Australian nature, animals, conservation and history and got to experience a true hiking experience up to the Pinnacles as well as walk through the rainforest and along many boardwalks. We absolutely loved the trip and will remember it as the best three days of our stay in Australia for 2 weeks! Thank you Jiri, you're the best!
