What To Expect

Expect to travel with a small group that is limited to 12 participants, with pickup and drop-off included from hotels in central Melbourne.

Choose the date for your Great Ocean Road tour when booking your combo package. Then reserve directly with the supplier for the Phillip Island tour, selecting a date that falls within the seven days of your first tour. Please note that accommodation is not included.

Great Ocean Road full-day tour:

Take in the scenery along Victoria's famous coastal route and go in-depth at several stops along the way. Stroll along long sandy beaches, and visit the critters that live in the wilderness. Walk into a eucalyptus forest to look for animals such as koalas, kangaroos and colorful birds. Stop in the picturesque town of Apollo Bay to purchase lunch at one of the excellent cafes or restaurants. At the end of the day, check out the striking rock formations and ocean scenery at Loch Ard Gorge and Twelve Apostles.

Phillip Island penguin parade:

Phillip Island is known for the penguin parade at dusk, but the journey there also provides great opportunities to see a range of animals. Visit the Churchill Island Heritage Farm to see a working farm and how early settlers lived, then stop into the Koala Conservation Centre to view koalas, wallabies and echidnas in their natural habitat. Next up, look for frolicking Australian fur seals at Seal Rocks as you walk along the Nobbies boardwalk. In the summer, have some leisure time in the town of Cowes before topping off the day by watching the little penguins waddling home to their burrows on Phillip Island.

Amazing tours of Victoria!

Both Sebastian and Fred, the 2 tour guides over the 2 days, were amazing and showed everyone a great time! Highly recommended for a trip outside of Melbourne to see some of the best of Victoria.

Unmögliche Termin-Organisation und Uneinsicht!

Unser Tourguide Fred war ausgezeichnet, freundlich, informativ, so dass wie einen guten Eindruck von Land und Leuten bekamen. Die Organisation der Tour war unmöglich. Wenn die Wahlmöglichkeit einer Terminänderung gegeben ist, sollte diese auch unmissverständlich funktionieren: Wir hatten den Termin um einen Tag vorverlegt und auch dafür die Bestätigung erhalten, wurden aber nicht abgeholt. Erst auf Nachfrage sagte man uns, dass es wohl einen Systemfehler gegeben hat - ohne irgendwelches Entgegenkommen. Wir verloren einen halben Urlaubstag dadurch! Erst auf nochmalige Darstellung wurde uns ein Upgrade bei der Pinguinshow gewährt. Am meisten ärgerte mich die Uneinsichtigkeit des Anbieters, der auch mit Gewährung des Upgrades keine Schuld eingestand - obwohl ich das geänderte Ticket in den Händen hielt. Das Upgrade bei der Pinguinshow entspricht nicht einem halben verlorenen Urlaubstag! Karina Sperl

We explained how the combo works and that we have to agree to the changes, and that even though Viator did confirm to you we were not aware of the change or couldn’t accommodate to your requested change. I’m sure every day of your vacation is important and we offered to upgrade you to penguin plus even though we were not at fault. Truly disappointed with your feedback, we are working under very difficult conditions with limited resources and did our best to compensate for the situation, clearly it wasn’t enough as you post this review weeks after the tour.
