We went on this tour on a Sunday and the Yarra Valley was very busy, complete with road closure and detour so I would chose a different day of the week.

Whole trip was super, highly recommend. Chris H was was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable- give him 5stars. Only negative was strawberry farm- we were offered half a strawberry each, along with a paper thin slice of pear and peach😂😂😂😂😂 Everyone agreed this was pitiful and bad marketing. However the shop itself did have a super range of local produce.
25 is not a small group!!

“Small group” ecotour……25 in the group - NOT small Crammed into a bus with minimal room for purchases. Nothing Eco about it either The first stop set the tone - fruit “tasting” was essentially just a trip to the grocery store. We shared ONE apple and ONE nectarine each cut onto 25 wafer thin slices, plus 25 small strawberries. No information was provided. The guide Sherif was fun, and played the didgeridoo well, but didn’t provide much information We will be avoiding Go West tours in the future

On the infrequent occasions when guests express surprise & indignation about the size of our touring groups we're always disappointed that: a) they clearly didn't read the tour description in which we try to ensure that our group sizes are absolutely clear, and ; b) the guest really expected a smaller group at our price point. It is, of course, possible to join a much smaller group to the Yarra Valley - it's just going to cost you about $60-80 more on a per person basis. We would definitely prefer that all guests who join our tours are a great match for the type of experience we offer, but it's not always the case and we're sorry that our reviewer didn't enjoy their day in the Yarra Valley with us.

Ross was very friendly and capable. There were 24 participants who all got on well which was nice. But 24 people is not quite what I'd call a small group. We went to 6 businesses altogether (1 local produce shop, 3 wineries, 1 cheese shop and 1 chocolate shop). It felt a bit rushed. Perhaps it didn't help that we went on a Saturday but after tastings there was little time to think about what you might like to purchase or sample anything else. The chocolate shop was insanely busy and loud. Very difficult to hear the employee tell us what chocolate she was giving us to sample and the inflexible amount of time available there led to 'smash and grab' purchasing after tasting. There was certainly no time to line up for an ice cream.

Amazing experience for couples or friend groups

It was a wonderful, well paced tour. The van was super comfortable with free wifi, spacious seats and air conditioning. The tour guide was so cheerful and lovely. We tried fruits, herbs, cheese, chocolates and plenty of wines. The lunch was a small-ish portion and vegetarian options are available- but I have no complaints, since it ensured we were not too full for all the rest of the tastings. My best friend and I went together and we don't have any particular affinity to wine. We picked this tour as it had the biggest variety of non-wine tastings which were all fantastic. Nonetheless, this was a fun, accessible experience to learn how to appreciate wine! Do take note that if you are sensitive to alcohol there are about 15+ samples of wines to try, so do pace yourself and there are buckets to empty out any wine that you cannot finish! There is not too much walking if that is a concern. We were still quite refreshed by the end of the trip at 5pm where you will be dropped off right at your hotel doorstep!

Lucy was a great tour guide on this trip. She kept use on time so that we could enjoy every opportunity. She was entertaining and a joyful guide. We visited a few wineries. The chocolatirie was the best but since it was just before Christmas is was extremely busy.

Cloe was a cheerful guide who brightened up our day. Good foods, good wines, good vibe. Yarra Valley has nice scenery with extensive farmland. This was perhaps my most enjoyable day trip among six in Australia.

I had a fantastic day out yesterday celebrating a friend's birthday while exploring the Yarra Valley and all the delicious produce it has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed each location we visited. We had a fabulous tour guide named Margaret who was very friendly and explained the history of the area. The only negative was the bus was a bit small, with 24 passengers on board and not much space to put your purchases. I do recommend this trip and will definitely use Go West Tours again.

Tasting wines that available only in Australia and one of the best in the world, see beautiful Yarra valley, taste locally made cheese and chocolate. You can buy anything. This is definitely worth adding to your trip

Being in a group of 24 made things more enjoyable and less rushed. The wineries were great. The cheese and chocolate tasting were really good. Our bus driver Bert was experienced and made it a wonderful day.
