What To Expect

Depending on the day of your tour, your start time and meeting point differs. On Tuesday or Friday, greet your guide at the exit of Metrobús Cuauhtemoc at 6:30pm or 7:30pm respectively, or at the main entrance of Palacio de Bellas Artes at 6:30pm.

Your experience begins with a visit to a local pulqueria, a traditional Mexican tavern that specializes in serving pulques (a sweet and milky Mexican cocktail).

Then, you’ll continue to Arena Mexico, a Mexican wrestling playground famed for epic lucha libre matches. As you watch a high-octane wrestling match, your guide reveals the history of the sport and the reasons that luchadores (wrestlers) wear the colorful masks.

Alternatively, if you've booked your experience for a Saturday you'll visit the iconic La Arena Coliseo.

Your tour concludes at the arena after the wrestling.

Didn’t really get much value out of the guides. The provided tickets were also quite poor seating. Overall, I’d encourage the guides to chat more with the participants. They also behaved more like participants than guides, which was underwhelming to say the least.

I have to admit- I was really looking forward to planning this for my honeymoon. It EXCEEDED expectations. The hosts were so knowledgeable about lucha culture- taught you the chants and a little history. The little bar you go to before hand was great to get to know others in your group. I felt very safe and the hairs made sure to translate to vendors when necessary. Must recommend!

What an experience! Such a fun time. Starting with some of the best pulque I've had and live music, Ulysses, Luis, and Addy showed us a great time. Then we went to Arena Mexico. Wow is all I can say. This place truly is the Mecca of Lucha Libre. Getting to see one of my favorite luchadors was a nice surprise too.

Leaarning about the history of the Lucha Libra and some of the cheers and swear words fans use at the arena. We also went to a popular salsa bar to try the traditional drink pulque. Ulysses and Aida were attentive and fun.

The lucha libre event itself was exciting & enjoyable. The tour however was a tad overpriced for what was provided. Whilst the guides were lovely & very informative the experience outside of the event doesn't justify just simply purchasing the tickets yourself. After starting 20 minutes late we were taken to a crowded loud pub. This had a very fun local vibe but was almost impossible to hear guides or socialize with the group. We were then rushed to finish our drinks before heading to the arena. The arena event itself was very enjoyable but overall felt underwhelmed in terms of the price.

Fabulous evening. Started with a selection of live music from all over Mexico followed by an awesome night watching the wrestling. There was a party feel to this event and it's suitable for family as well as large groups of friends, looking to start the night off with a bang. Alejandro and Brenda gave us the background to the music and the wrestling and were consumate guides.

This was a fantastic experience. My husband and I really enjoyed the history provided by our guide about the Pulqueria and the Lucha Libre. The pulque tasting was great, live music, and watching the wrestling at the Arena Mexico was fun. Walking around the arena after the matches was also an amazing experience. People know how to party!

Overall a good experience! Great for a solo traveler cuz a night of pulque and lucha libre is so much more fun with others! The guides were great! The pulque was delicious and they booked a band to play some songs and everyone at the place was dancing, singing. The lucha libre fight was good. Arena Coliseo is intimate so we had great seats. The only thing I wish were different is that because we were waiting for some folks we started about 20 minutes late, so the time at the pulqueria was cut short. I barely had enough time to finish a cup.

Josan and Alejandro were excellent guides who were knowledgeable about Lucha libre! They provide basic info and fun facts about the luchadors! You can tell they are really passionate about the fights and it made the experience more entertaining! Would def recommend going to a Lucha libre fight if you are able to!

We were so excited and looking forward to Lucha Libre, even took an Uber early to the meeting spot. We were heart broken because we never connected with the tour guide and because of phone troubles we couldn't message or call him. We requested a refund, it's been over a month and still no communication regarding our request. This was a huge disappointment.
