Antonio is a great host!...
Clara_V, Mar 2023
Antonio is a great host! Warm, friendly, knowledgeable. We were able to see a lot in one day, and I we had just the right amount of time to explore each site. It was also a good way to meet fellow travellers.
Very knowledgable guide, wonderful tour
Elisa_P, Feb 2023
We had a wonderful time on this tour. Both our guide and driver were great! Our guide, Antonio, was very knowledgable, came very prepared (even with maps and timelines of the history of the sites) and was happy to answer any questions we had. He gave us a history of the sites we wouldn't have had if we had gone on our own. Would definitely recommend!

Our Driver, Alberto, drove us safely and smoothly between locations. Our Guide, Carlos, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this tour. A real taste of Mexican culture and history.
Great Sites to Visit, but You May Get Lost in the Narrations
Hidalgo_C, Jan 2023
Visiting the locations offered in this tour were worth the trip. However, I found it difficult to understand our tour guide, who spoke fluent English, but with a heavy accent. Nice guy, who clearly was knowledgable and had much to share. Very cordial and helpful too. But I found it difficult to follow along because I could not understand what he was saying most of the time. I know I would have enjoyed my trip much more if I could understand him.
Totally Worth it

The pyramids are definitely worth the trip. If you are thinking of going, just be aware that this is a FULL DAY tour. There are a lot of stops. If you ONLY want to see the pyramids, then book a half-day tour. My only suggestion is that the tour guide is really proud of his heritage and spent a ton of time talking about insects, flora and fauna, indigenous people - which is great, but how about we do it in the shade.
Excellent moments

It was an memorable experience to see three pyramids built in 3rd century and got familiar with Maya civilization.

Very accommodating for a trip with small children. Even the stops that would have seemed as tourist traps (tequila stop, restaurant, etc) turned out to be nice. I would have given 5 stars but there was misleading information about The pick up location.
Antonio the Boss, El Jefe
rafae_a, Nov 2022
amazing, Antonio awesome, but just a suggestion cut this trip down to 4 hours to get more done, this could easily be done faster, and efficiently. 6-8 hours way to long, and slow, Antoni amazing again!
Money and time well spent

This was an excellent tour. Carlos and the driver Eli were great. Carlos was awesome at speaking both Spanish and English so that everyone understood the history of Mexico City and the surrounding areas. Do not hesitate to book this tour, you won't be disappointed.
A fun day
Virginia_R, Oct 2022
Carlos, our guide, was very good. He did a good job providing information in both English and Spanish. He ensured both groups got the same information. He was eager to answer as many questions as he could. He was patient and passionate. The tour did not feel rushed at all. Yes, we stopped at a touristy trap where you learn about obsidian and agave and are encouraged to purchase something. But these stops are included in all tours. You can’t skip them, I don’t think. The driver, Alberto, was skillful and got us there and back safely.
Friendly and knowledgeable guide

Ivan, the guide, was great. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Made everyone feel included. He was considerate of those that may have not been able to walk some of the distances. My mom cannot walk too far, and we appreciated that the driver would take her to the next stop while everyone else walked.
Don’t say you offer this tour in English and Spanish when you basically ignore the English speakers
Patricia_C, Aug 2022
The claim is that this tour is offered in English and Spanish; it is not. Carlos basically ignored the English speakers until my friend, who is bilingual, asked him specifically to offer the information in English for the benefit of the English speakers. Then, when Carlos did speak in English he only relayed 1/4 of what he had told the Spanish speakers. Carlos and the driver must have been getting kickbacks from the 2 stores he took us to. The first one we spent entirely too much time in and he brought us back there after the pyramids for lunch. We could have spent more time in the Pyramids or Guadalupe but instead he kept us at this shop. We barely got half an hour at Guadalupe; not nearly enough time to see everything there. Carlos and the driver refused to take my friend and I back to the Starbucks where they picked us up. Instead, he convinced us to get off at the first stop. I suspect it was because they did not want to drive us there. Then, we tried to get an Uber to no avail. Carlos and the driver left us in a spot that nobody apparently wanted to drive in. Maybe because there was a ton of traffic. Anyway, we ended having to walk to the nearest hotel and ask them for a car because there was no reputable taxi stand nearby.
Too many tourist traps
Etienne_L, July 2022
This is not unlike other tours, but it's still something to watch for. This is nothing against the driver or the guide which were both very nice. It's about the activities that we had to do. The tour lasts approximately 9 hours and of those, we spent probably close to 2 hours in tourist traps. The first one is the first stop in Teotihuacan where we spent probably 30 minutes in the gift shop. Then we came back to the same area to have lunch for close to 1 hour (another tourist trap). And before visiting the basilica, we were in the gift shop across the street for 20 minutes. And that's on top of taking 7 group pictures throughout the day. In total, we probably spent 60-75 minutes on site at Teotihuacan, which is a let down. I would not recommend the tour as it is set-up. It's a shame because both Teotihuacan and the Basilica are really worth seeing if you are in Mexico City.

First of all, we thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, however, we regret that it was not rewarding. Regarding your comment: 1. Did you find the experience given by the guide to be bad? It is important to tell you that the experience is focused on providing hospitable treatment to you, the travelers, and of course to provide you with historical information about the places to visit. 2. The itinerary of the activity mentions a visit to a handicraft center. Do you think 30 minutes is too long? 3. In the Basilica before the visit, the guide gives some time so that people can buy a candle, a rosary, etc. Sometimes some travelers wish to bless their souvenir or leave their candle. It is a shared tour! And we have to adapt it to certain needs and desires. Does 20 minutes seem excessive to you? 4. The photos that the guide takes of the group are for the purpose of having a record and evidence that the tour was provided based on the itinerary, but it is good to mention in this comment that if anyone does not wish to participate please tell the guide and they will not insist. Did you tell the guide about your disagreement for having taken photos of the group during the tour? 5. The visit to the archaeological site lasts two hours, sometimes it is extended longer if the majority of the group demands it, I do not understand your comment. Did you take the time to let the guide know that you thought the visit to the pyramids was too short? I am sure he/she would not have refused to extend the visit a little longer. Our agency will always be looking to work on the areas of opportunity that your comments bring to our attention.
"Yes, Carlos, Mexico is an Exotic Country!"
Soo_L, July 2022
Our guide Carlos and his competent driver Elly were very prompt. There was no wait time as we were the first to be picked up and they came at 8:10am. Right away Carlos pointed out landmarks and interesting facts along the way to the next pick up. Later, when everyone was napping between sites, I continued to ply Carlos with questions and he readily answered! The tour was well worth the cost. It was a full day that ended around 7pm. We learned a lot - how Mexicans feel about their country and why the Mother Mary is so important to many here. Seeing Aztec temples being slowly uncovered, learning about obisidian's origins and how useful the maguey plant is, hearing the Teotihuacan history and seeing the Basilica de Guadalupe gave me a deeper appreciation of Mexico's history. I would definitely recommend it. There were a couple of issues that Carlos couldn't help. One was the food at the restaurant. I heard several negative comments regarding the quality such as the meat was very tough and the desserts were NOT good. It's a pretty restaurant, but they should consider improving the food quality. Also, Carlos is too nice to push people along if we need to be on schedule, but several passengers kept the van waiting more than once. Carlos' background of working at a museum previously really showed in his love of Mexico's history and his eagerness to share it with others. Tips: Be prepared for the heat. An umbrella is not recommended due to frequent gusts of winds. With that in mind, I'd recommend a hat with straps to tie it securely as we almost lost ours a few times! Tourists may no longer climb the pirimids, but I'd still recommend wearing sturdy shoes for the long walk to each pirimid, though sandals ARE prettier. Beware if visiting in September. Carlos cited a history of earthquakes occurring in that month, with some major ones included!

Teotihuacan is must see ancient wonder
Steven_M, Apr 2022
Carlos gave very detailed info on what we viewed and was entertaining doing it - Lunch venue was good and received a good education on maguey, obsidian teotihucan etc . Jesus is a great driver - he tried to maneuver us thru traffic gridlock on way home to no avail . We all abandoned the van and it was every man for himself ..
