The transportation service only applies from Mexico City Hotels located at Touristic Areas. It does not apply from particular residences or Airbnb and/or similar services. The transportation service is shared, subject to schedules and restrictions. In case you select the option without transportation and want to arrive by your own car, the appointment will be at Globopuerto Volare in Teotihuacán, State of Mexico, at the designated time.     Best price out there! The staff was friendly and spoke English. It was AMAZING to see probably 50 balloons flying around! Our pilot was the best! He took us about 3 feet over the top of the Sun Pyramid (something they always aim for, but it is hard to do because they are at the mercy of the wind). He flew us low over the city of San Juan and we spent our trip waving at the people on the ground! Afterwards, we opted to stay and visit the pyramids and the tour company recommended we do a tour with Martin for only about $40 USD. Let me tell you, I have done many tours all over the world, but the tour with Martin was one of the best. Totally interactive and with alcohol included! We learned about obsidian, drank local craft sugar cane alcohol from a families garage bar, got "henna" tattoos in red from the eggs of worms, learned about agave and took part in a cleansing ritual in an underground cave that is illuminated by a beam of sunlight for 45 minutes a day. Highly recommend!

    I wanted to do something special for my birthday so I booked the hot air balloon and I was extremely impressed with how organized everything was. We were picked up and upon arrival we were given a light breakfast. Shortly after we were assigned a ballon, the view was amazing and the life was very smooth. Once we landed we were given champagne and taken to have a wonderful Mexican breakfast with mariachi and tequila shots. We were given the option to stay and see the pyramid sites and were even set up with a very knowledgeable tour guide. It was truly an amazing experience.

    early morning coffee, watching the big balloons being inflated, climbing in the basket for the first time, an excellent pilot controlling the hot air flames and navigating the balloon, watching the entire Teotihuacan landscape from the sky, coming up close to the Sun and Moon pyramids and seeing their majestic architecture from sides and top both, heading back to landing site and almost touching a trip top while descending, champagne celebration of a very good flying experience.

    The hot air balloon ride itself was amazing. The pilot was great and the views were spectacular. I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. The problem, and why I didn’t give it five stars, is everything else. The driver who picked us up at the hotel didn’t have our name on the list at first. It got sorted fairly quickly, but was stressful. After the balloon ride is where things went off the rails. They said they would take us to the entrance to the pyramids. They really took us to the entrance to the entrance. They unloaded us by a bunch or waiting guides. The tour that these guides took us on was terrible. We spend two thirds of our tour in a gift shop and a random cave and not the pyramids. I don’t know if the balloon company gets a kickback from the scam tour company, but it felt like they probably do since they didn’t drop us off where they said they would. If you take the extra time option just skip the “helpful” guide and do it yourself.

    This tour was absolutely incredible! The hot air balloon ride was so peaceful and stunning. Spent a solid 45 minutes in the air and was served a decent breakfast after. By far the most memorable part of the trip. The pyramids were cool to see as well. The tour ticket doesn’t include the entry to see the pyramids, but you’ll be offered a tour of the pyramids that is 580 pesos or roughly $30 USD. Honestly without paying for this tour, I don’t know how you would make it to the pyramids without a vehicle. Would recommend budgeting for the tour into the ticket price if you plan to do the pyramids.

    The driver to pick us up was on time and the ride there was very comfortable. The ride itself was awesome. We had people who were afraid of heights but quickly adjusted to the smooth ride and loved the experience. The champagne as we landed was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet was plenty more than a taco and quite good, with options for juice, coffee and even a shot of tequila. There was even a mariachi band who played beautiful music and included birthday songs for anyone celebrating. The transportation back was also really smooth and the driver even dropped us off closer to where we were staying as we were the last group on the bus and it was on the way. Overall, wonderful experience! (Separate from the Viator tour but want to share for those interested): Our group opted to do the extended trip to tour the pyramids. While you can walk the sites yourself, we joined an English speaking tour group which provided transportation and waters as well. The first part of the tour was to do shopping which maybe not everyone was a fan of. We did get to learn about obsidian and magay (the plant pulque comes from) and have two tastings of mezcal and pulque. My tip is not buy things on the store, unless maybe you're looking for real jewelry. When you head to the pyramids, there are a lot of solo be dora who will negotiate and give you the same items for far less. The tour itself was informative and our guide was fun, cracking jokes here and there. There's quite a bit of walking and it can get very hot, so hats or umbrellas are highly recommended. We last toured a cave. If you're interested in the history, I think the tour (580 MEX) was worth it.

    Volare Tour was very well organized. Pickup was prompt and on time early in the morning. Then when we got there they handed out coffee and snacks, which was appreciated, while we waited for them to set up the hot air balloons. The hot air balloon ride was magical we were lucky that the wind was calm and rode over the pyramids. Super smooth, did not feel scared at all even though we were thousands of feet up in the air. After the ride they brought us back to the center to have breakfast. Did not a expect a full breakfast with a mariachi band entertainment! We opted to go to the pyramids as well and they provided shuttle to the entrance. (Pyramid entrance fee not included) Then pickup to go back to the city. Overall price for the whole experience was well worth it with roundtrip.

    Loved this excursion! Beautiful views of the pyramids. FYI, there is a guided tour offered for about $600 Mexican pesos, and they do accept credit card payment. I had pulled cash but didn’t need it after all. The guided tour is very informative and definitely worth it. The only downside is you have to be up at 4 am and if you do the tour, will return to the city around 2:30.

    Great tour and experience. The hot air balloon was a dream and right out of my bucket list. The food, the coffee breaks and the planing were well done and the visit on site was well executed. The only downside was that the driver that dropped us off took too long of a route and we used 3 1/2 hours to get back to the hotel.
