Traveller Tips

It is definitely worth it to get to Teo early.
Got there early and hardly anyone was there, which was nice.

Monse was a great guide. It’s unfortunate that climbing the Pyramids is not allowed anymore but it all in all, good experience
An awesome experience.

Fermin was very knowledgeable and provided great information and answered all our questions. It was great to be guided by an actual archeologist as we felt we were getting real information..
If you really want to LEARN about Teotihuacan
Tim_Z, Mar 2023
I can’t imagine having a more informative guide for this tour than Ernesto, an archeologist who has stayed informed about new developments in pre-Columbian archeology and developments at Teotihuacan. The tour was dense with information and we left with much greater knowledge not only of Teotihuacan but of its place in history and its interaction with other societies, contemporaneous and later. An outstanding experience.

The tour of Teotihuacan was very good. Yun answered all our questions. The van ride is extremely uncomfortable. Small seats, no leg room and it seems the suspension doesn't work very well. I would opt for a better vehicle.
Really informative
Denisse_L, Mar 2023
The tour was great and really informative! Pros: - We were picked up and didn't have to worry about transportation. - It was early in the morning, so we beat the crowds and heat. - We weren't rushed at each pyramid - Our tour guide, Yunuen was friendly and my daughters felt comfortable asking questions. Cons: - While the servers were super sweet and we got to see a traditional dance show, the lunch was really expensive and it was not great food. Overall the tour itself was great and my kids and I learned a lot.
Fun, low-key historical sightseeing

Guide Gerardo and driver Joaquin were very prompt, professional, and friendly. We were picked up outside our lodging location, they communicated with us frequently to let us know where they were en route, and the tour itself was educational and fun. Gerardo did a great job explaining the different sites and areas. We were able to see and explore around the ancient ruins, we never felt rushed, and also had a fantastic lunch stop. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend.
Absolutely brilliant!

Great trip with a really knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. The right amount of time at Teotihuacan. The only drawback was the lunch stop which was not very good, but the lunch did not prevent us from really enjoying the tour.
Great day at the teotihuacan

Gerardo is a great guide with insightful information, answering all the questions about the sight, with deep knowledge of the subject.
One of my favorite tours

If I could leave 10 stars I would. Yuneun was such a wonderful guide. He was so knowledgeable and interesting I haven’t stopped talking about all I learned. My tour group was a mix of amazing people and I had such a wonderful time. Absolutely, highly recommend
Beautiful views with knowledgeable staff

This tour was phenomenal! Service was excellent - we were picked up from our hotel door, no complications and the staff communicated well. Our tour guide was Gerardo who was knowledge, friendly and very accommodating. I learnt SO much about the Teotihuacan pyramids, it was honestly mind blowing. The scenery was also of course beautiful and beyond anything imaginable. Gerardo walked us through the life style and religion of the Teotihuacan age and answered all of our questions. He was even nice enough to take some great photos of everybody. I definitely suggest doing the early morning tour - whilst it is a little chilly in the early hours, it does get very hot by mid morning/ afternoon and it was nice to heat the crowds. Plus you get the see the hot air balloons take off which makes for beautiful pictures. The shop and restaurant they stop at afterwards were great!! I forgot to bring a lot of cash which I only realized at the pyramids so could only buy a small amount of souvenirs there which I was saddened about but you are able to use a credit card at the shop which was great. It is more expensive than the vendors inside the pyramids but still worth it. I personally thought the restaurant we stopped at was delicious! I could have been super hungry from walking so much but I got the garlicky fish with rice and vegetables and it was excellent. My husband got the chicken mole and he wolfed it down in about 10 seconds and said it was amazing also. We then got dropped off right back at our hotel at about 3:30pm which is actually earlier than I thought we’d be home. I’m sure it varies with traffic and how many people are on your tour though. I’m still in awe, even being back at home now I can’t stop talking about this tour. Don’t hesitate, just book it. 10 out of 10 would do again and recommend to anyone.
Great tour

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Everything was great. We had a good lunch in a nice restaurant on the way back
Great experience! Highly recommend.

Great tour that was very efficient. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. There was one individual in our party that was sick the morning of our scheduled tour and we messaged them 45 minutes prior to our pickup time that we had to cancel. We expected to just be a no show but they were able to quickly and willingly reschedule us for the next day.
Great tour

Great tour with a very knowledgeable guide, it does get very hot so bring a hat, water and wear sneakers as it’s a 2km walk from the start to the end.
Best Teotihuacan tour
Daniel_S, Jan 2023
No crowds, awesome guide, really helpful tour staff took time to return lost items to me next day. The ruins are amazing, and I couldn't recommend a better tour group.
Superb!

Amazing experience, Jocelyn our guide was excellent. We enjoyed the entire experience, including the delicious meal at the end.
Room for improvement
Joanna_R, Jan 2023
Teotihuacan was very cool to visit, an awesome day trip from CDMX. Our guide was knowledgeable, communicative and kind. However, the experience after the pyramids was just ok, it was a woman at a store very rapidly talking about a few things and then effectively shopping in a gift shop. The lunch spot after was pretty inedible, and the reservation is for the whole group so if the group isn’t social you’re kind of stuck having a bad sit down meal in silence with people you don’t know. The coffee / snack stop on the way out was a gas station. Wish it was something more local (and with better coffee than gas station coffee) because nothing is open before you leave. I’d probably do it again because it was worth it to see the pyramids but I might look for other ways of getting out there.
Good overall experience
