Excellent experience for...

Excellent experience for learning all about the most important ingredients in Mexican cooking and stylistic elements. Pame was very engaging and fun and gave us many recommendations for cooking at home as well as what to eat in the city. LGBT friendly, good comfortable atmosphere.
Best cooking class we have ever had!
Katherine_B, Mar 2023
Pama's personality made it fun! Full of information and tasty treats at the market, and lots of hands-on cooking, making things i would have never imagined.
Fantastic, diverse, easy day

This was a great day. We visited the market but also stopped at small shops and stalls to see tortillas being made (wheat and maize). We tried choc, insects, fruit, pork scratchings in the market! The class was so relaxed but informative and the food terrific. A very good, patient teacher! :)
Buen provecho!

My husband and I took the Aura Cocina Mexicana Cooking Class and Market Tour on Feb. 4, 2023. This was one of our favorite things we did while visiting Mexico City, for the first time. Chef Pam was awesome as well as her staff! Her enthusiasm for Mexican cuisine is contagious! The market tour, including street food samplings, introduced us to food we may not have otherwise tried. The hands-on making of the dishes that we all sat down and enjoyed together, made the experience that much better! You will definitely leave this class with a full stomach and having met a great bunch of people! We highly recommend this Class and Tour! Also, Chef Pam sent us photos and videos she had taken during our time together which was so appreciated!
Deliciously Nutritious Creations with Pamela & Family
Matthew_M, Jan 2023
What a beautifully delicious and intentional experience. Our guide, Pamela, was so special and made sure all of us understood we weren’t just guests or participants, but rather family connecting with each other through fun, learning and cooking incredible food! We started with a short walk to the Mercado to talk about all of the native ingredients that we would be using. It was very educational. Then we got to work in the kitchen. Everyone had different tasks and we all contributed to what turned out to be the best meal of our entire trip!! We had the best time from start to finish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Seriously…. Schedule this experience NOW!

You have to do it
Kimmy_T, Dec 2022
This was such an incredible experience! I feel like I learned so much more in-depth about Mexican culture and food from the market tour and the time we spent with Krystel in the kitchen. It might be my favorite thing I did in Mexico City!
A must do
Kristen_P, Mar 2022
I had a blast. Sadly I had to leave the class early because of another tour I had but Chef Graciela was amazing. She was super nice and answered all my questions plus I gained more insight into Mexican cuisine. The kitchen is super cute and it was a great hands on experience plus the tour before cooking was great. Highly recommend.
Loved it!!
Fernando_H, Mar 2022
This is just an amazing experience, we loved it, time and money well spent. Group was small, 6 in total… Krys took us for a small walking tour to “tortillerias”, street food and a market, then we went back to the cooking class. The was was great, very interactive and you learn and eat/drink a lot!
Fun Cooking Class with Market Tour
Clifford_T, Mar 2022
We had a great time on this cooking class (mid-January 2022). The neighborhood walk including street food snack was good. The tour of the market was great fun. The instructor really made it educational and engaging. Back at the cooking studio (bright and cheerful) education and fun continued. I'm glad a little recipe booklet was provided because we are definitely making some of these dishes back at home. In fact, we're having a small dinner party tomorrow night and will make some of the items. We recommended this tour to our hotel in Mexico City. I think other travelers would enjoy it.
