Our guid Giorgio(sp) was made to be a guide of the duomo. His level of knowledge was impressive and it was apparent how much he truly enjoyed sharing his love of the duomo. He also asked regularly if I was ok on the rooftop (fear of heights) and if I wanted to go back which was very sweet. I totally recommend booking with Giorgio!!

The breathtaking facade of the cathedral is beyond admirable but knowing the story of almost every parts of the Duomo from a very passionate and expert guide who bring to life the stories of every stones, statues, red light bulb stone and stained glass windows, among others. There was a lift up to a certain part of the cathedral but we where informed that there will still be stairs to climb - but is did not matter because listening continuously to our guide about the history of the church kept my mind off the heat and steps I made.. I did not even realize we are already at the highest part of the cathedral "Rooftop Terraces". The on-going renovation though limited us to see the other parts but its ok, there will be some other time.

The Duomo exceeded my expectations. Our guide gave a detailed explanation of the terraces and was more than game to climb all over the terraces and back down the steps. The inside of the Duomo was magnificent. She had a lot of interesting stories to tell about the cathedral and artifacts in it. Highly recommend.

It was truly a unique experience to see the Doumo from the rooftops. It really helps bring into scale the enormity and artistry of the cathedral.
