What To Expect

While in Milan, learn about the great wine that is produced in the region. Sip some of the finest wine in the area as an expert sommelier guides through a tasting, telling you about the history of wine production in the area and noting all the characteristics, from subtle to bold, of the vino you are imbibing. This guided wine tasting allows you to sample three different wines and to snack on cold meats in between tastings.

The wine of Lombardy is well known throughout the world and produces some legendary wines, including sparkling Franciacorta, red Sforzato di Valtellinese and sweet Moscato di Scanzo.

It was a bit tricky to find the restaurant, but we got there without getting too lost. Our sommelier at the restaurant was the owner. He was very personable and gave us a lot of great information on how to judge wine. The wine was excellent, and the snacks were just right accompany what we had to drink. Oh yes, the pours were not skimpy.

Great time at the wine tasting in Milan...very cool setting and a great lesson in the appropriate way to drink and enjoy wine. This tasting was entry level, but was very well done and we very much enjoyed the experience. If this is your first experience with a wine tasting, I would recommend...for those that have done any in the past, this might be less than what you might want, we have done several but enjoyed this one as well.

We learnt a great deal that we hadn’t learnt at other wine tasting events. We would definitely recommend, Nico was very passionate about the wine, food and his presentation was fantastic! We even went for dinner with the other people at the wine tasting so it’s a great way of bringing people together from different cultural backgrounds. The only problem we had was that we originally booked the 4.30pm slot but when we arrived, we got told to come back at 6.30pm as there is an issue with the website bookings. We then had to wait around for 2 hours. We hope this booking system error can be fixed in future. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Absolutely loved this tasting. Went to La Dogana del Buongusto which had fantastic wine and food pairings. Loved the atmosphere and the sommelier was fantastic - we learned a lot in a short amount of time!

Martina was the best! She had us taste three completely different wines and gave us food in between. I didn't need dinner after that. Instead I finished with going to the top of the Duomo and eating some gelato. I really recommend it, I am alone in Italy and this was one of my best choices. First day was a success in Milan!

This was a great experience, but I would not say it was because of the people in charge of the tasting. The man giving the tasting took a call and never came back, which led his assistant (who did not speak any other language) to finish the tasting. It sounded like they were reading descriptions from the bottle, which anyone could have done. The wine and food was amazing though, so it really made up for the presentation.
