Too much waffle

Could have been more enjoyable in a 1 hour trip. Sometimes we’ve found these tours to be a lot of information that you just can’t absorb.

We absolutely loved this tour. The guide was super friendly and she was very knowledgeable. You could tell that talking about Italy and the art is a passion of hers which made this experience much more enjoyable. Highly recommend if you want to learn about the last supper painting and other facts about the nearby churches.

The Last Supper viewing went well. The tour guide was very informative and the pace was just nice. The only downside is the walking tour. Apart from a visit to a church and a brief visit to castle, there's nothing much of a walking tour.

Worth it!

This was a great experience. Our guide was more of an art historian than a tour guide, which was perfect for the last supper experience. Our visit to a lesser known renaissance church to see additional frescoes was fun. If you are doing the afternoon time for this trip, by the time you get to the third location, you may be a bit tired which I ended up skipping. Overall, I will do this in a heartbeat, and it was extremely educational.

The full tour not worth the $$

The tour of The Last Supper was very good. Our guide, Gianluca, was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great details about the piece. We also toured the church of San Maurizio Al Monastero Maggiore, which was stunning. My disappointment was two-fold…when booking, the tour description noted the group would not exceed 12 people. Upon check-in, I found out we were 35! The tour also did not give a full description. of encompassed the “Renaissance Walking Tour”. Turned out it was the church and the Castello Sforzesco, which my family & I visited earlier in the day! Had we known, we would’ve spent our time differently- and we ended up leaving the tour early because why repeat the visit?! My recommendation to others looking at this tour -just do the “the last supper” only option…that really was the most interesting & worthwhile.

However, we feel so sorry for any misleading information that you might perceived from the website. We have checked the guidelines once you have messaged us about this matter and reported it, and we have found no trace for having a tour that had maximum of 12 participants. It was mentioned clearly in the additional info on Viator that this tour has maximum number of 24 participants, which is still small group compared to the other tour operators policies of Milan Municipality. For this, we insist to provide each visitor a radio-guide and personal one-use headphones to be able to have an individual experience. As well, the Renaissance Walking Tour on Viator, has a specific itinerary which is the Last Supper Museum, then San Maurizio church and after this, the Sforza Castle; in any case, we feel sorry if you have felt that this was something that you had seen before and it would be waste of your time. We are very sorry again for any inconvenience that you might have encountered during the tour. We wish to see you again in different tours and we hope that you have enjoyed your stay in Milan.

Our guide Lara ws excellent. She has a huge depth of knowledge about the last supper. She explained clearly the problems with da Vinci, as an artist, and all the restoration work carried out through the centuries, up to the present day. Lara exudes enthusiasm, and has a huge depth of knowledge about Milan in general and its wonderful art.
