A wonderful Bernina Express train ride from Tirano to St Moritz. The scenery along the ride is breathtaking. The tour guide spoke dual languages (Spanish & English). However, I feel she did not express all context in English. Leaving me to guess what's she was talking about. It is a minor inconvenience.

My friend found this for us to do and initially we only booked to be in St. Moritz. We were notified a stop at lake como was added and it ended up being the best thing! It was the most amazing day with spectacular views. Could not recommend this more and our guide (Mare- hope we remembered the correct spelling 🤞🏻) was so useful and kind and provided a wealth of knowledge.

The Bernina Express train is definitely an incredible experience that I would highly recommend to anyone - the views are spectacular and the air is so refreshing. Unfortunately, I can’t say I would recommend this tour operator. Not only are the images in the listing misleading (you don’t see a lot of the scenery shown and you don’t see or travel along the Landwasser Viaduct at all), but I found the experience to be extremely overpriced. A train ticket directly from Bernina is a fraction of the price and you could probably choose to sit in a less cramped cabin - with the tour you are forced to fill out one cabin and it’s extremely tight and packed with no opportunity to experience the views on both sides. The tour guide was also pretty rude and snappy, not very friendly or approachable if you had any questions or wanted to double check the meeting points or times at stops along the way to Tirano before you board the train. I was also very disappointed about how much time you had at any place you stopped - my partner and I were starving because it was impossible to get any food or drinks within the time frames allocated; the whole tour group would practically run to try and either make it to the bathroom or try and grab some snacks. The tour operator doesn’t even offer water on board the coach and there are no toilet facilities either. You barely get an hour in St Moritz and the train/coach meeting area is a good 10/15 minute walk away from any of the shops or restaurants so it felt really rushed and we didn’t feel like we got to experience St Moritz at all as a result. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this experience and would say save your money and don’t go through a tour operator. You only get a one way journey and barely any time to stop or enjoy anything - we felt rushed and like we spent the majority of our day on a coach, hungry and holding for the bathroom.

Tour started with a 3.5 hours bus ride to st.moritz and then after spending 2 hours in st.moritz we went down back to Tirano with the scenic train ride. Our tour guide Claudia was very knowledgeable and gave us some tips on where to go on our free time. St Moritz is beautiful especially in winter, so this trip is a must if you have a free day in Milan.
