The Catamaran leaves from Negril in the afternoon. The duration of the tour varies depending on where you are staying in Jamaica. You are transported to Negril, then you have time on the beach and THEN afterwards the catamaran.

It was So fun! Barbara and Salt (our driver ) we’re great people! They had great music on the bus and were super patient with everyone on board, which is rare. Barbara was the sweetest by walking me back to the hotel because there was no where to park the bus! And the boat was a blast! A ton of music, great people and free drinks!

Driver was 45 mins late to start the trip. This left less time for lunch once arrived In negril, this felt rushed. Boat trip was okay, nice views but the boat was too full and felt over crowded. Rick's cafe was nice albeit with minimal time there. Journey back to montego bay was bumpy with and felt the driver was driving too fast. Felt pressured into leaving a 5star review and tipping the driver who I don't think deserved one.

Foolishness aboard a fratamaran

To keep it brief, the cruise is fun, but buyer beware it is loud, raucous, and hectic with unnecessary stops beforehand. My group was picked up last, and the first stop was to a gift shop and lasted nearly an hour, which I found to be excessive. Upon exit, we were accosted by people selling everything from marijuana, to bananas, and bracelets. It was very confronting, and I felt set up and unsafe. Members of the tour brought the weed they purchased onto the bus and began smoking with no regard for anyone else. The driver was mum, which I found highly inappropriate, he should have had better and firmer control of the passengers who were misbehaving. Second stop was to Jam West Park, which is a beach-front restaurant and bar. The drinks were overpriced, food was incredibly slow, and they don't accept contactless payments, which in 2023 is ludicrous. Third stop was the 2:15pm catamaran, which was literally packed to the gills. I don't think the number of people they crammed onto the boat would have been legal in the U.S. Snorkeling was equally wild, with no direction on where on the reef to see fish and sea life. The water was delightfully warm, which was the best part. Rick's Cafe stop was well-organized amid the usual messiness. The drinks and music made me feel like I was back in college at a frat party, against the backdrop of the most vibrant sunset. If possible, go on the catamaran, but figure out how to cut out the middlemen and needless stops.

The cruise was ok the staff did their best. The Rick's Cafe was nice. The pick up from the hotel was late. The tour bus was broken down and the AC didn't work, the door didn't work, the driver had to keep cranking the door to open. Very unsafe. The driver was not prepared had to ask us to play music as his cell phone died

This was soooo much fun! The crew was great! We hung out in Negril and got to explore the beach then went on the catamaran which was soo fun wish it was a longer drive. Ricks cafe was a blast wish that was a longer time as well. Got to see the sunset on the way back. Would do again!

The best tour ever!!

If there is one thing you do in Jamaica it is this tour!!! You will NOT be disappointed!! The tour bus was full so we got our own private driver who gave us a history of Jamaica the whole trip from Montego Bay to Negril. His name was Michael and he made the experience! I was kind of dreading the drive but it was one of my favorite things about the whole day! The catamaran crew was phenomenal! We got to see a dolphin on our way back from Ricks cafe which was one of the highlights of the day in addition to all of the colorful fish we saw while snorkeling! When I come back I’ll be doing the same excursion and hope it’s all the same people!!

Happy with the cruise

The cruise was amazing and beautiful but the transportation through holiday service was terrible when picking us up in the morning he was an hour late and then taking us back to the hotel he was 30 minutes late.

Crazy bus ride, bring drinks! Souvenir shopping and good food. The reef was beautiful we saw so many fish! Nothing beats arriving to ricks by boat and braving the cliff jumps! Amazing experience boat crew was so fun and friendly. Highly recommend 👌

Fun times but read the fine print

The description is a bit deceiving, but overall we had fun. They don’t tell you that they don’t start serving drinks until after snorkeling. Also, the cruise didn’t start till 2PM as we had to wait for others booked to arrive before we could board and depart. Much of our time before that was spent waiting and walking around the beach. The staff were fun and helpful. Once the event got started we had fun and would do it again. Wouldn’t want Holiday Tours for transportation as our van had no air and they were not helpful in getting us another van or discounting our fees paid.

Great experience, enjoyed the Sunshine Catamaran and crew. The drive to Negril could have been a little better the vehicle that was used could have had better air conditioning. Our driver Kenny was okay. Had a good time at Jamwest restaurant/beach area while waiting for thr Catamaran to arrive. Rick's Cafe was awesome. Jam west and Rick's Cafe both had good food and drinks.

Unfortunately, poor quality

Our experience on this excursion was extremely poor. Starting off the restaurant that we were brought to to eat before the catamaran was poor. The food quality as the time it took to prepare the food was extremely long. Many people did not get their food in time before the boat arrived. The boat was over sold, and extremely crowded. The snorkeling was ok but nothing to write home about. The alcohol provided was of the lowest quality. I chose not to drink but judging from the look on people’s faces it was painful.The boat takes you Ricks cafe but just to take a picture from the water side. Disembarking from boat to go to Ricks is highly unlikely due to the size of the boat and choppy conditions, this makes it’s nearly impossible to disembark from the boat to go to Ricks if not for perfect water conditions. The bus then takes you to Ricks for an hour. Our experience using Viator was so bad I canceled a different excursion I had planned later on in the week due to how poorly this one was ran. We booked a similar trip 2 days later but different company though the resort and had a much better experience.

Everything about this excursion was priceless, when I go back to Jamaica I would definitely do this again! 10/10 my favourite thing to do! Ppl were great everything was great the stop at margaritaville was awesome they had amazing food!

Disappointed long day

Our resort was in Montego Bay and no one cared to mention this excursion was over two hours away. We had to stop half way there to purchase marijuana for other guests on our bus and an additional stop to go “shopping”. This was never mentioned. I thought we had lunch included with our trip but had to purchase lunch at Margaritaville. The snorkeling was not very organized & didn’t see any fish. The cocktails on the boat were very slow & we had to wait in long line. In closing I will end on a positive note & say the water was beautiful

Bad experience

It is the worst tour I have ever been on. They didn't pick me up at the hostel even though the place was on the list of those you could select, so I had to walk. They didn't arrive on time, and I had to wait almost 20 minutes on the street. As if that wasn't enough, when I was going to get on the bus, people didn't want to let me on because it was a private tour. I told them that I had paid to go, I got on the bus but at the next stop, they wanted me to get off and they argued with the driver. Time at the beach was to short, and we didn't go to Rick's cafe
