What To Expect

Following pickup at your hotel in Negril or Montego Bay, board a comfortable coach or minibus for the ride to Sandy Bay.

Arrive at the safari ranch and listen to a short orientation and safety briefing from your expert guide. Watch an ATV-riding demonstration and get to know the basics of how to operate one, then don your helmet for a practice lap. Once you're comfortable on the 4-wheeled, all-terrain vehicle, set off into the lush landscape with your guide.

Ride through the Blue Hole Estate, pass Cascade in the parish of Hanover, and continue past the farming village of Smithfield. At one of the island’s oldest Presbyterian churches, pause to explore and learn about its history. Rev it up the nearby slopes to a mountain viewpoint, at 2,200 feet (670m) above sea level. Make sure to have your camera on hand for spectacular photo ops.

Splash through puddles, speed past citrus plantations, roar up and down hills and bump along the twisting dirt trails. Along the way, discover some of Jamaica’s native flora and fauna, and hear from your guide how some plants are used in the island’s traditional herbal remedies.

Return to the safari ranch for lunch and drinks (own expense) at the conclusion of your 2-hour ride. Board the minibus for the return journey to your Negril or Montego Bay hotel.

Horrible experience I paid in full for my Atv Excursion and got canceled by the tour operator which I completely understand but the tour operator or Viator hasn't refunded my money and lack of communication from Viator and the tour operator...Totally unacceptable

1. Get there on time. Pay attention to your email if you are getting picked up. 2. Better to pay someone else for pickup and drop off 3.Complete all of your forms, Bring License not passport. They will also accept photo of license from phone. 4. Drivers are usually well connected and can save you on excursions. 5. If you are in a group purchase all together to avoid separation. 6. There are showers, but they are more for rinsing the dust off.

If you’re looking for ATV riding that doesn’t require experience, this is it. We loved it. We rode in the water, we stopped for history lessons on plants on the island and learned a little of everything. Our tour guides were awesome. However, the hut was closing down by the time we finished our ATV, the ladies at the bar were rude as ever. We booked a 2 PM ATV - I recommend not to do that. They do have Wifi though, and lockers are $10 a piece. Bring your towel, a phone waterproof case and your swim suit, there are bathrooms.

We waited over an hour past our reservation time and when we were ready to get on the ATV’s, it started pouring down raining and thundering. Some of the people in our party of 16 did not want to go because of the rain. They were allowed to stay back but could not get a refund. The bus ride back was packed and horrible
