Loved the zipline

Loved the zipline, was quite worried about it, but it was such fun, the guys on the wires were really professional and made you feel safe. Booked on here and expected a guide from the company supplying the tour which there wasn’t, the driver was from Selvertura park and all the staff were from the park also, I think it was cheaper booking through Viator than booking directly with the park. They offer photos and video which was $40 which we thought was worth it ( showed as 60 on the price list) we didn’t see much wildlife on the hanging bridges but it was a lovely walk up in the clouds.

One of The worst experience we’ve ever had. Avoid it

One of The worst experience we’ve ever had. The provider is chasing the money, they don’t care at all to offer a nice experience to the travellers. The forest is amazing, but for them is just a business. They didn’t give us the confidence of safety, so we couldn’t enjoy it.
We’re waiting in a long queue to take the tickets (we had prepaid though!!!), next queue to take the equipment, another queue to get into the bus, another queue to go to the “training area” where they just showed us once the position-they didn’t let us practice. Then one more queue for the first zip line; we’re waiting on the straits with more than 30people while the max capacity of the structure was 10people and they just pushed us. On the other side there was only one person handling the breaks and at the same time pushing us to the next zip line. Safety: below 0. There was no waiting area, no stairs, so we wanted to stop and we had to go till the 6th zip line to find stairs where finally we ended the activity.
There was no clear path to go back to the training area and we had to wait more than 30minutes for someone to collect and guide us to the path. Then we went to the hanging bridges. We’re alone. We didn’t see anyone from the company in the 3km of the tour. We didn’t get any advice what we should do in case of emergency. If I could give zero stars I’d definitely do. I strongly recommend you to avoid this activity. The operator is incompetent and the way they operate is dangerous. The safety standards are at minimum. They don’t try to make the travellers feel comfortable, observe the outstanding views, or get some satisfaction from the activity. What a great disappointment

No guide with us but they were 13 ziplines, very fascinating and I think 8 hanging bridges, very nice! You have to have a good health condition, you will walk a lot!

Selvatura Zipline experience

Highlight the Superman zipline. As for the overall experience unfortunately, there were so many people and some of the staff were not welcoming but rather pushing people around it felt like an industry. There were so much waiting at the platforms and these could hardly accommodate all the people. It was between 30 to 60 mins waiting in some cases under the rain.

I would not recommend this experience to anyone. I booked this activity in advance via trip advisor. We were told that we would be picked up at 8 am at our Monetverde hotel and taken to the activity. After waiting an hour with no pick up or contact we called the local contact destination services from our hotel who told us that the van wasn't working that day and that they were not coming to get us. They provided no communication to us about this until we called them! They then said that if we could make it to a local restaurant they could pick us up 3 hours later and we could still do the ziplining. Since we did not have time to book another zipline tour we made it to the restaurant where they picked us up very late. We ended up wasting an entire half day waiting to be picked up. : Once we arrived at Selvatura the ziplining was great and staff very friendly. What I am most disappointed in with this activity is the customer service I have received from Viator and pure lack of communication and professionalism. I would not recommend ever booking anything through Viator. Book your activity directly through Selvatura and save yourself a headache and your precious vacation time.
