    Very informative tour

    Very good tour, educational and informative. Was worried it might just be a tourist trap but we learned alot about the production of sugar and chocolate. Coffee too, but we had already been on a coffee tour so that part was a bit repetitive for us. The guide was very knowledgeable about answering questions about similar crops and other production processes. Highly recommend even if you don't like coffee like me.

    We visited Monteverde for the zip lining and adventures, but ended up absolutely adding the DonJuan tour because we had a little extra time and we are so glad we did. We loved our DonJuan tour with Dan! Dan took us through every step of the process, he was a wealth of knowledge, and answered every single one our questions. He was also very friendly and entertained us the entire tour. It is really 3 tours packed into one: chocolate, sugarcane, and coffee. He took us around the beautiful farm and we got to see and participate in almost every step of each process + taste different cocoas, sugarcane products, and coffee (some of which we made!). We learned a ton and cannot recommend this tour enough! Definitely add this to your list in Monteverde, perhaps even above your adventure activities. Gracias, Dan!
