    MUST DO!!
    Lily_B, Mar 2023
This is a MUST!! Make sure you have proper maps to get there as we got lost. This was a pretty decent hike so definitely bring water. We wore shoes that could get wet and swimsuits under our clothes as you walk through tons of waterfalls. So many bridges and waterfalls. Fruit and an awesome lunch provided. Overall one of our favorite things from all of Costa Rica.
One of my favorite experiences in Costa Rica

Very fun experience! We were the only people on the trail which was very cool. We saw massive waterfalls and had an absolute blast hiking. The trail is very well marked and beautiful. Staff did an excellent job. We ended up opting in for the bicycle zipline, horseback ride, and lunch. Everything and everyone were top notch!
    Great Place.

A fantastic hike with many beautiful waterfalls and great scenery. I’m over 60 and thought the hike was definitely moderate I managed it without any trouble. I’m also afraid of heights and made it over the hanging bridges! They really aren’t bad and a lot of fun! I definitely recommend the horse ride back. That was really fun. And the lunch was well earned and really delicious. Highly, highly recommended.
    Experience out of this world

This activity was amazing. At arrival Alan explained how the hiking trail worked (you hike by yourself), safety procedures and let me pick my option for lunch. The hike is not an easy hike, especially if it rained overnight, but you get to see many different waterfalls, walk across the hanging bridges and enjoy nature in its purest form. At the end of that, you can also ride a horse back to have lunch. Very impressed, well done guys!
    It is challenging!!!

As you can see from the photo, we are not young. We were clearly the oldest people at El Tigre. My husband and I found the trail extremely challenging/difficult. Parts of the trail are extremely steep, muddy and slippery. If I was younger or in better shape (and I am in good shape) I would rate this 5 stars because it is magnificent. The waterfalls are amazing and you are truly in the middle of a mountainous forest and clouds. That being said, I highly recommend this experience but I would not do it again.
Great lunch, hike, waterfall + horseback ride. Plan for some extra time.

We did the combination lunch, trail, and horseback ride option and really enjoyed it. The main building is surprisingly nice with a decent menu and an amazing view. We wished we had planned longer than 3.5 hours. There were a couple of waterfalls that we would have played in for a while, and we would have enjoyed getting a couple beers at the end, but we were short on time. Highly recommend this activity! A couple of notes... The trail down is very steep and the steps are tall but well made. The bridges are narrow and a bit wobbly but fun. This activity is probably not good for for anyone with vertigo, fear of heights or knee problems. The location is a bit of challenge but worth it... Roads in the mountains of Costa Rica are windy, slow, sometimes paved, sometimes not, and with a ton of potholes. Plan for the drive to take a bit longer than you might expect.
Awesome guides , spectacular views and great food
    Doris_N, Dec 2021
We had a wonderful time . Myself and my friend both in mid 70’s certainly not athletic but we made it . It was a challenge. The guides didn’t think we were going to be up to the challenge . They even gave us a walkie-talkie talkie just in case they had to come and carry us out. But we are so proud that we made it the entire way. Slippery Rocks , spectacular views and awesome waterfalls. .
    Challenging and beautiful

Overall, this tour was much more scenic and challenging than the Monteverde Cloud Forest! You see plenty of waterfalls, and lunch was delicious! However, I would say it is mostly trekking, with lots of uphills/steps, so you MUST wear good boots/shoes that will provide good traction since the paths and steps are very slippery and always wet. Not recommended for beginners or those who aren't in the best of shape. Definitely wear or bring a rain jacket. Also, if you are afraid of heights, a warning that there are several very narrow footbridges crossing over water and fairly high up, often with only one rope to the side to hold on to as you pass. The horseback riding was just the ride back up to the ranch where you started, and a little bit of trail.
    Merveilleux endroit...

Merveilleux endroit sauvage au cœur de la jungle. Accès pittoresque par une route, une piste digne des coins perdus. Vues impressionnantes
