What To Expect

Relax on the ride from your Monteverde or Santa Elena hotel to the Selvatura Adventure Park, nestled within an unspoiled cloud forest reserve. Once you arrive, ascend into the treetops of this remarkable ecosystem with a guide to begin your trek across a 1.9-mile (3-km) trail made up of suspended walkways.

Cross various levels of the cloud forest on eight different bridges that range from 150 feet (46 meters) to 510 feet (155 meters) in length and 36 feet (11 meters) and180 feet (56 meters) in height. Even with these incredible dimensions, and you can relax knowing the bridges meet the highest safety and quality standards. With widths of 5 feet (1.5 meters) and weight capacities that hold up to 80 people, they make up the longest and strongest hanging bridge system in Costa Rica.

Learn about Monteverde's famous biodiversity as you move through the forest at a leisurely pace that’s ideal for observing native plant species and wildlife.

Selvatura Adventure Park

The treetop walkways tour consists of 1.9 miles of trails in which our visitors will encounter eight bridges of various lengths which range between 170 feet and 560 feet. Each bridge features 5 foot width and the largest capacity in Costa Rica of up to 80 people per bridge which make the treetop walkways at Selvatura Park not only the longest bridge system in Costa Rica but also the safest and strongest. Additionally Selvatura Park’s Treetop Walkways designs are the only ones that have been submitted and have been approved by the College of Architects and Engineers of Costa Rica, which ensures that they were constructed following only the best construction standards of construction and materials for their purpose and thus provide the best quality available. The treetop walkways can be enjoyed by people of all ages and physical conditions.

Great way to see the forest

Beautiful tour with crazy views of the forest cloaked in mist. About 1.5-2 miles walk that our young kids could manage with a little help on the stairs and narrow areas. Definitely worth getting a guide to point out animals- we saw howler monkeys, a tarantula, and many birds. Highly recommend.
