What To Expect

Feel like a local during this 4-hour bike-lover’s cycling tour of Montreal. With two distinct excursion choices, covering different aspects of the city’s architecture, history and food, you’re sure to get a great feel for this beautiful French-Canadian metropolis.

Start your biking excursion at de la Commune Street East, arriving at least 15-20 minutes before your scheduled tour time. At the time of booking choose between 9:30am and 1pm departure options. Then cycle out into the city for an exploration of its wealth of attractions on two wheels.

Pick the “City Tour” for a great 9 mile (14km) ride through Montreal from its Old Port area to its Latin Quarter, making a stop for a snack at the world-famous St-Viateur Bagel and then continuing past Mont-Royal Park and into Old Montreal. Or choose the “Vista Architecture Tour” to explore some of the city’s most unique buildings on a 13-mile (20km) ride, including the Estacade which spans the Saint-Lawrence River, plus food tasting at Montreal's well known bakery, Premiere Moisson.

A Great Way To Explore Montréal

We booked the bike tour as a means of demystifying the city shortly after our arrival, and it didn't disappoint. Through Nicolas's expert guidance, we quickly learned about Old Montréal, the Latin Quarter, Plateau Mont Royale, Mile-End, and McGill University, among other places. What a beautiful and fun city! Nicolas brought local color, knowledge, and humor to the experience that made it memorable and fun. Highly recommended!

Great tour but leave out the politics, please

Mike was a great tour guide. He had a command of the history and facts that made for an interesting tour with some lovely scenery. I really enjoyed it but do want to give some feedback that i kean to be constructive. Tours come with all manner of guests with differing points of view and perspective. I would appreciate it if the political worldview of a guide did not encroach on a tour.

Took this tour with my husband on a super hot July day. Bottle of water in hand, and off we went. Julien was a super guide. There were 8 of us, 4 English speakers and 4 Francophiles. Julien switched languages with ease and never seemed tired of repeating himself! Electric bikes are an option with this company, and 4 elected to have the help with the hills. We were on pedal bikes, and didn't have a problem. (Both in our 50s, but in pretty good shape) Over four hours later, we were definitely tired, but had a great overview of the neighborhoods and history of Montreal. Recommend!

Great chance to try an electric bike

I loved the bike ride. Our tour guide (Nicholas) was nice and knowledgeable about Montreal and willing to answer questions. Im not sure how much I’d call this an “architecture” tour. It was light on info in that area. More focused on interesting facts about the city. For an architecture tour, I’d pick another tour company.

This tour is not only about some nice elements of Montreal’s architecture constructions but also about famous parks and green sites of our city. So therefore, it is not a 100% architectural tour. Excellent tour of Montreal by bike. Our tour guide Mike was excellent throughout. Very knowledgeable and looked after the group at all times no matter what level of ability. This tour is a great way to see Montreal, suitable for all abilities. Added bonus was getting to keep the bikes in the afternoon for further exploring. Shop were very helpful giving maps, locks and sharing information on good routes to take

Michael was an excellent guide. The tour was supposed to be in English, but their was a Belgium family along, so needed French as well as English. Could have been better if the tour was only in English.

Guide Julie was definitely enthusiastic and I think it rubbed off on the rest of the group….we got to see many different parts of the city and learned a lot of the history as well…we were impressed enough to come back the next day to rent bikes, only to learn they were free due to the previous day’s tour…we actually saw Julie the next day while we were biking, and she was quick to come greet us…to conclude, I would completely recommend this company ( their staff was so helpful as well ) for any of their outings

What a great way to see & learn about the city! The biking tour with Rene was so much fun! And he was informative, and knew the city well & much more about the architecture here & all over the world. We were so glad to have a guide to follow in the bikes for safety, too.

The bikes were great, and the amount of Montreal we covered in four hours was perfect. Mike, our guide, was so biased about the history, language, religion, politics and socialization of city and province that we didn't get a clear picture of any of those aspects. Many of his assertions were lopsided and from his own lens, while others were complete fabrications. That being said, I would recommend the tour for the great electric-assist bikes and the amount of the city seen during this longer tour. It was great that we were able to keep the bikes after and explore the island and some other places not covered on the tour. A balanced approach to recounting Montreal's history, politics, etc is recommended to make it better.

Not really about real Montreal but a nice ride along water

Not exactly what we were looking for. I was hoping to see some of sights and some history of architecture. But guide took us out of area and explained in OVER detail of city infrastructure and design. Wine and beer is a coupon for house wine. Gross,,,and beer was only coors. Bikes are ok. Customer service at bike shop very nice.
