What To Expect

Get to know Québec City and its top attractions on this guided sightseeing tour from Montreal. The full-day adventure begins with hotel pickup in downtown Montreal. Climb aboard a comfortable motor coach and enjoy the journey to Québec City, with commentary from your guide along the way.

Explore Old Québec, the historic heart of French Canada and the capital of the province of Québec, with its narrow streets, stone buildings, and European feel and learn about the city's history and culture.

Visit Place Royale, often referred to as the birthplace of French America, and the beautiful Plains of Abraham, where the famous Battle of Québec between the French and English armies took place in the Seven Years’ War in 1759.

Then follow Avenue Royale through the traditional villages and farms of the Beaupre Coast, just north of Québec City to visit Montmorency Falls, a 272-foot (83-meter) waterfall on the Montmorency River (taller than Niagara Falls).

After the tour, there is ample time to explore Old Québec at leisure. The tour ends with a return trip to Montreal and hotel drop-off.

What a wonderful trip! Québec City is beautiful and charming. Our tour guide Katia was amazing. She had so much knowledge about Québec and took the time to get to know everyone in the group. She learned where everyone was from and was able to find a connection to Québec to almost everyone's place of origin. She was able to give the tour in English, French, and Spanish, which was great for our group of mixed language speakers. Serge was our driver, and he did an excellent job. He was very friendly and a great driver. Make sure to bring something to eat for the bus ride, as we left at 8:00am and didn't get to break for lunch until around 2:00pm. The driver does stop at a gas station half way there and also on the way back, but it's a short stop, just enough time for a washroom break. The guide and the driver will appreciate if you give them a tip, but they weren't pushy about it. Overall, I had a great time and would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see Quebec on a time crunch!

Beautiful lakeside drive into old Quebec. Tour guide was informative and entertaining! Unfortunately, it rained during our free time. Overall, a good way to spend a day in a new city.

Grateful to our excellent driver/guide Norman. 92 in Montreal the day before, and it was cold and windy and rainy in Quebec. Kind of fun to experience. What a spectacular city! So much to learn, and our guides were bright and passionate. We are grateful for this trip. Merci!

The bus driver was hilarious and very good. Quebec is very beautiful. The shops and towns were very quaint and peaceful with lots of beauty. Not enough time to shop and eat though. Needed about 4-5 hours for shopping in the quaint little towns.

We really enjoyed our day trip to Quebec City. We met at the designated meeting point to board the bus but our driver, Serge, dropped us near our hotel at the end of the day. It was a long day (12 hours), but definitely worth it! We stopped at a gas station on the way there and back for food and toilets. I recommend bringing or buying snacks, as you don’t have time for a real meal until around 2pm. Both Serge and the Quebec City tour guide, Danielle, were prompt and professional. Would highly recommend this tour! Quebec City is beautiful.

Quebec City is adorable and so clean! It reminds me of Monte Carlo because all of the buildings are in tip top shape although they are old! Loved the Fairmont Hotel! Just Gorgeous!! Had an amazing lunch at Le Conti, next to Fairmont Hotel!

We had a great time. Our tour guide and driver were both fantastic! Our tour was very well organized. They even thought of a stop along the way for bathroom break. Take a pillow to rest on the bus.

A Cool Day in Quebec City

Old Quebec City is beautiful and we wish we had more time to explore the sites. We enjoyed lunch at the Fairmont hotel. We had a poor weather day with 40 degrees (F) and a strong wind. The local guide ignored the fact that many in our group were freezing and continued long dialogues outside in exposed locations. This made the walking tour somewhat uncomfortable.

Place Royale and Chateau Frontenac were the highlights. Also having Roger tell the history of the city was fascinating - he was a fantastic guide who truly loves his job and it shows. You read and hear about the history in social studies, but seeing the actual places really brings it to life.
