The hike was personal and informative. We really enjoyed Evette and Tracy's guidance and helpfulness throughout the hike. We learned a lot about the local culture, history, and plant life. Tour guide was prompt for pickup and the fruit lunch after was amazing, fresh, and a joy to experience.
Fun waterfall hike

The waterfall hike was one of the highlights of our trip to French Polynesia and we did a lot. Yvette and Tracy were outstanding guides and it was so much fun to learn about Moorea and its culture and hike to the falls. Our whole family would highly recommend the experience.
Breathtaking waterfall!

Loved learning about the plants and flowers of Moorea! Hiking up to the waterfall was absolutely breathtaking and the fresh fruit after the hike was delicious. Highly recommend this excursion!
Afareaitu Waterfall Hike and Garden Tour :) Five Stars+
Mike_M, June 2022
Yvette and Tracy made this hike to the Afareaitu Waterfall so much more than we could have ever imagined! Yvette and Tracy taught us all about the island, from its flora and fauna to its rich cultural traditions and history, from its geology and archaeological past to its modern abundance and preserved harmony through many efforts to sustain the practices of the ancestral indigenous people whose traces are still evident in the deep recesses of Mo’orea’s foothills, mountains, rivers and valleys. Yvette is exuberant and knowledgeable and her excitement to share her peoples’ identity and historical legacies is infectious in the most invigorating ways! Tracy has a unique understanding of the intricacies that are at work in the vitality of the forest slopes, and the spirit within the vibrant unity of sea life and land life that permeates the island’s depths. We’ve never felt so safe and cared for on a tour and the personal connection Yvette and Tracy display made us fall in love with Mo’orea and its French Polynesian connections across the South Pacific. We learned so much more by being immersed in their personal lifestyles and invited to catch a glimpse of true Mo’orea daily life in a way that can’t be replicated by non-indigenous your guides. The variety of delicious fruits and vegetables grown right in the garden setting where we ended our tour was as unparalleled in its exceptional quality as a farm-to-table experience can be! We will never forget our half-day hike to Afareaitu, and the beautiful souls who guided us on our adventure! Thank you so much! We felt so welcomed and safe in your care. What an honor :)
Unique and unforgettable slice of Moorea!

Such a unique and special experience! Felt very lucky to learn so much about Moorea and Tahiti from Yvette and Traci. They were superb hosts and bring so much love and enthusiasm for what they do. The hike is very accessible and done at a pace that is not overwhelming in the heat. For me the highlights were the stories and tour of the elaborate garden they’ve built on recently, but produces some amazing fruits and flowers! This was at the end of my stay on Moorea and was a lovely treat to end the trip.
You must book this hike

It was amazing! Yvette was incredible and taught us so much about the island and allowed us to walk among the incredible trail to the waterfall. The waterfall was so fun but the experience Yvette provided was unique and made for an incredible morning. She then cut up truly the most delicious fruit from her own garden and let us feast on it after the gorgeous hike. It was an unforgettable experience! Thank you Yvette! You took care of us and our kids so well.
Randonnée chère pour ce que c'est!!!
Carole_P, July 2022
