Animal lovers won't want to miss the opportunity to see humpback whales on their migration through Moorea. Between July and November, there is the possibility of seeing the whales and their young, and even swimming with them if the conditions are good. Great tour but weather was not great as it rained and also windy. They enjoyed the tour.

The Whale did not show up. Most memorable part was the Stingrays and the sharks.
The guide tries to look for the whales but no none were around. Overall, the tour was great.

The experience was okay. The staff were amazing and explained everything perfectly. Signed up to swim with the whales and yes the whales are unpredictable, but soon as we exited the pier we found the mom and daughter. We watched as the whales swam past the other groups that stayed in the water. But seemed every time we dove in the whales moved. Eventually our captain left the area and drove about an hour to the bottom of the island to search for more but this ride had all 11 of us a little woozy. The waves near the south were also rougher. By the time we got down there it was another mom and baby but they kept disappearing. Half of the boat had sea sickness and they started asking to go back so we didn't get the joy of getting the up close experience but we did see them from maybe a football field away. Albeit this is towards the end of the season as welll so there are not as many whales. I would have preferred to stay where the first whale was and been patient. That long ride to the south had us all ready to swim to shore for some stability lol but I would do it again and would do it again with this company, just unfortunate that it didn't happen this time.

As you know we do not control nature (ocean imprevisible as well as cetaceans). The captain chose to go to the other side because he knows his island perfectly and he thought he found some (which he did) but there was too much wind and swell so the launch was impossible and the whales were too agitated.

Swimming with whales, once in a lifetime experience

Swimming with whales was bucket list stuff! Amazing! Our guides were very helpful and patience with everyone, very respectful of momma and baby whales. Love to do it again

Breathtaking and awe inspiring

We were stunned that we could get so close to the whales, on not one but two occasions. We loved the sensitivity our captain and guide had towards respecting the behaviors of the whales to keep them safe and happy first and foremost before allowing us to enter the water. We were able to experience up close and personal Moments with a baby whale and its mother that was breathtaking, awe-inspiring, and surreal. The captain and guide were fun and engaging and non-judgmental, helping us through minor setbacks and celebrating victories as they came. We were able to see dolphins playing as well as a fish chase with birds, and overall it was an absolutely amazing experience. Thank you so much!

This was hands down the coolest experience of our lives. One, our guides were incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, ocean, and what they were doing. We felt very safe and cared for. Two, we really valued their approach to this experience. It was all about what the whales wanted and respecting their wishes. We were dealing with nature and we’re going to try our best to see the whales, but ultimately respect their wellbeing. Third, we got to swim with whales AND dolphins!! It was so freaking cool. We also saw a ton of wildlife from the boat which was super cool. Fourth, the guides were amazing, gave us recommendations, and brought a very positive, respectful attitude. We loved this experience so much and would 1 million percent recommend it and Dorris/Moorea activities center to be the people you shared it with.
