Great Munich/Oktoberfest experience

Our guide was Jay and he did an amazing job of walking us through Munich and explaining the town and Oktoberfest history. Upon entering Oktoberfest it was very seamless to get into our tent and get our food and beer.

Tom was one of the best tour guides we have ever had. I traveled with my wife and two other couples and our main goal was to get a table for Oktoberfest but the city tour ended up being a main highlight. Tom's great knowledge and attention to small details really made this tour enjoyable and we learned a lot about Munich. The table at Lowenbrau did not disappoint, and all six of us had an incredible experience.

We had a fabulous time! Elisabeth made sure of that. She was so engaging and informative it really added to the success of the trip. The walking tour at the start gave us a bit of history and made sure we got to the fest just when we needed to. Getting a local’s view of the various tents was well worth it and having the reserved table meant we didn’t have to stress finding space when things get busy.

We had a great time with Sophie as our guide. The walking tour beforehand was a nice way to learn a little bit about the city before getting sloppy drunk. Everything was as described, we got two beers and half a chicken each (via a voucher that could be redeemed for a dollar value, if you wanted something else).

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Oktoberfest and our guide, Tom, was a major reason. He was funny, accommodating, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy what he does. I loved the pre-Oktoberfest tour followed by our Oktoberfest tent experience. We were lucky to have wonderful people with us on our tour, and that made it even more fun.

Elizabeth was an amazing tour guide! She was extremely informative and stayed with us the whole oktoberfest experience. She gave us so much insight into the history of Munich as well as history behind oktoberfest and importance of beer in Munich! I can’t wait to come back and experience this again!

Our tour guide Elisabeth met us at Marienplatz, proceeded to lead us on a guided tour around the city. I was in 3 walking tours in Munich and i must say Elisabeth had the best commentary. We were later taken on a Subway ride to the Oktoberfest grounds. Remember that bags are not allowed into the grounds apart from Ladies handbags. You will need to pay 7 euros for your bag to be deposited at the luggage area. We were then taken on a tour of the Oktoberfest grounds the interesting rides,the nice food stalls and nice souvenirs to buy. Finally we were taken to our table inside the Lowenbrau tent. We had 4 hours in the tent, the vouchers entitled us to each have 2 litres of beer and half a chicken. Elisabeth stayed with us until she had to leave to bring in another evening group. Many thanks to Elisabeth and Viator for the perfect Oktoberfest experience. I will be coming back. Hopefully next year.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable, dressed in authentic clothing and provided exactly what was promised in this tour. We even caught the Oktoberfest parade along the way and had a great time in the Löwenbräu Bier Tent in Oktoberfest.

Loved this tour and experience! It was a bit chaotic at first at our meeting point as the tour guides didn’t have their identifier signs (as stated on the booking details). If you book this tour with other people - do it all under one booking as the tour guides will break the groups up once at the meeting point. Once we found which tour guide we were with, it was all organized the rest of the tour. We had Markus as our tour guide and he was phenomenal! He was so knowledgeable, funny, and made the tour so enjoyable! The reservation at the Oktoberfest tent was fun too - we went mid week so we could’ve gotten into the tents without the reservation but it was nice to know that we’d have seats. Overall, a great experience worth the money!

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour! Our guide Tom was very knowledgeable and our quick tour around some Munich highlights was a good precursor to heading to Oktoberfest. Having a table reservation in the beer tent was nice and having your food and drinks taken care of was great as well. Would definitely recommend for newcomers experiencing Oktoberfest and Munich for the first time.

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Elizabeth and our small group. Elizabeth was very passionate and knowledgeable about both Munich and Oktoberfest. She made navigation to and around the fair grounds seamless. She also gave recommendations and historical background on many of the rides and attractions. If you want a stress free Oktoberfest full of fun and new friends, I highly recommend this tour!

Nice walking tour. Tom was a great, knowledgeable guide. Preferred going on our own as it's more fun to sit on the main floor versus in the reserved section and we essentially saw the same sites on our own...but for those who prefer an escorted experience this would be a great option.

Very accommodating and both of the tour guides were very nice. I was running late, my Uber wasn’t able to drop me off where I needed to be dropped off due to streets being blocked for the first day of Oktoberfest. So I showed up late and my original tour guide had left but the next tour guide let me piggyback off of them which was super cool. Nice little walk in the area we were at with some history and the beer hall was amazing!
