We had an amazing day with Eugene. It was like visiting family in Napoli and going out for the day in style! We loved all the history and stories of Napoli and the Amalfi Coast he shared. And they were able to get us a wonderful private tour guide, Marialibera, last minute for Pompeii which we really appreciated. She was so knowledgeable and the way she told stories helped us to paint a picture in our minds of how it must have looked when it was a thriving city. I HIGHLY recommend this tour!

The Amalfi Coast and Pompeii--LOVELY

We booked a tour with Mario, and the day was FANTASTIC. Mario recommended that we leave a little earlier from our cruise ship to beat some of the large tour bus traffic, and we would do it again in a heart beat. He recommended a 7:40 a.m. leave time from the port--It was effective. The van used was clean and comfortable for the whole day trip. The early part of the day was spent traversing Napoli and then Positano and Sorrento where we had time to walk around and eat lunch on our own. Mario was entertaining with stories and cultural information for the entire drive. We definitely left the trip feeling we better understood what made this region of Italy special. The afternoon part of the tour dedicates time to visit Pompeii. For an additional charge, we chose to have a guided walking guide for Pompeii. My husband and I had toured Pompeii on our own 20 years ago. We highly recommend the additional fee for the guided tour. The person secured by Mario to guide us was EXCELLENT. Our college-aged daughters also appreciated the private guided tour. The site is HUGE and having someone lead us through was so much more efficient. This was a great choice for our Napoli excursion--Fit the cruise schedule well. Once again, a shout out to Mario. From discussing football (soccer) teams to other amazing anecdotes...We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Highlight of our trip!

Our tour to the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! Mario communicated very well the entire time, and that was so important seeing as our ship had some time constraints getting into and out of the port. Diego was our guide, and offered great suggestions for the day since we got a late start. We traveled to Ravello first, and it was beautiful! We stopped along the way for some pictures of Mt. Vesuvius and the the expansive landscape, all with a fun dialogue from Diego. If you go there, make sure to tour the gardens as they were spectacular and provided great picture opportunities. We then made our way down the coast through several port towns, including Minori where my husband was able to get the lemon delight at Sal De Riso pastry shop (made famous by the Stanley Tucci specials on CNN). He was in heaven! We took lots of pictures and saw many beautiful things and then headed to Pompeii. Diego made reservations for our lunch in Pompeii at a cute little restaurant where we were able to meet Mario. We then headed over to the ruins where we met our guide Enzo who was an actual archaeologist within the site of Pompeii! How fun!! He was so knowledgeable and interesting - I just wish we didn't have to get back to our boat so early. We all could have stayed there for hours. We all felt very lucky to have Enzo as our guide, and if you have the opportunity, you should definitely request him. We did not have long enough at Pompeii, but that was our cruise's fault - we needed far more time that day! We had to squeeze too much into one day and thank goodness for Diego - he definitely was able to give us the best of Amalfi and Pompeii! This private tour was amazing and definitely worth it. If you have the opportunity, book it and you will not be disappointed. Everything from booking, to transportation, to lunch, to explanations, etc. were professional, interesting, and fun. It made for an exceptional day that we all enjoyed. Thank you Mario, Diego and Enzo!

Alex, our driver and guide was superb. He met us early and beat the crowds to the Amalfi coast and towns. He gave us ample time to explore 2 towns and when we stopped at Pompeii, he had arranged a guided trip, for an extra cost but worth every penny. It was a perfect tour.

We have new ‘family’ in Napoli after spending 8 hours in the hands of this fine company. Eugene picked us up early from the Naples port when we cruised in for the day. He was easy to find and warm and friendly from the beginning. He had reached out ahead of time and suggested getting a 7:30AM start to beat the traffic on our drive to Positsno. So glad we did just that as we beat many of the crowds. Eugene is an expert driver, gave us a running commentary of geography, linguistics and answered all of our questions. He got us to a lovely viewpoint in Sorrento, gave us an hour in Positano to explore and another hour in Sorrento in a great shopping market where he gave us the best insider tips of what to buy. He took care of us every step of the way. He also suggested the best pizza in Pompeii before we visited the ruins and it did not disappoint. It had long been a dream of mine to visit the Amalfi Coast and doing it on our own or in a gigantic bus would t have been the same. We had big hugs with our Eugene when he dropped us back off and we feel like we were welcomed into the Napoli family. I would call/arrange any Italian driving needs with Eugene and this company.

Our tour of the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii with Mario was the highlight of our stay in Naples. Mario is personable and highly knowledgeable about the history of Naples and the entire coastal region. He pointed out landmarks and places of interest along the way and told fascinating stories about the area. We made several short stops for photos, and made a quick stop at a road side stand for lemon sorbet. Delicious!!! We had two one hour breaks, one in Positano and the other in Sorrento, and our day ended with a longer stop in Pompeii. Mario is a masterful tour guide. He planned the day perfectly and combined conversation and quiet time beautifully. We ended our day with him feeling like we had a new best friend in Naples. The tour is worth the time and cost. Make sure you request Mario as your guide.

This tour was fun and exciting. It started off by visiting the Pompeii archeological ruins. They offered to get us an English speaking tour guide and we were so glad we payed extra to do that because the city of Pompeii is so large, we would have been over whelmed and not known where to go or what parts were most important. Marcello was our Pompeii tour guide and he was outstanding. Then Alex, our driver, took us through the curvy mountainous streets of Positano and Sorrento and both those cities were beautiful. Alex gave us so much history and was funny and friendly. It was such a great day and would highly recommend doing this tour.

Our tour guide Alessandro (Alex) was awesome. He was very personable and took plenty of time to tell us info all along the way of our trip to Amalfi and throughout each town. Alex made sure to compliment our son's Italian as he is studying abroad in Italy. He honestly made us feel like family, which was wonderful. We had a private tour as well through the Pompeii which was great. Pompeii is massive so 2 hrs isn't enough but we covered a lot of ground. I would recommend Alex & private tour to anyone!! Transportation was clean and great & reliable as well.

This is a great tour. Our driver(Diego) was polite, friendly and explained all that we need to know. He picked us up from the holes and wait for us. He give us time to explore places.
