Awsome experience
Sergio_R, Sept 2023
The history and the explanations keep up the good work. Our guide did an excellent job she was awsome.

Our guide mastered a very good English and provided a lot of detailed and interesting details about the exhibits and the gallery.
Tour WWII Bomb Shelters under Naples
DONNA_S, Aug 2023
This was a very interesting tour as it explored the vast cavernous tunnels under the city of Naples. It was used a a bomb shelter during WWII after being built in the 1800's. Many artifacts remain from the war including cars and motorcycles. Our guide, Martina(?) spoke very good english and made sure everyone stayed together and gave ample time for photos.
I would recommend this tour if you've already seen the major attractions in Naples.
A unique experience in Naples
adrian31253, July 2023
An unusual part of seeing Naples. The underground was very interesting due to the history and how it became a shelter for living in later years (WWII), with relics still present. It was a bit difficult to find, but a tour booth guide helped us ( we were almost there). The guide was very interesting and made it worthwhile. To note, you enter at one location, and exit at another.

An excellent tour with a friendly guide, I would highly recommended this tour if your visiting Naples.
A cool place to visit but be aware of which tour you pick.
monicallee, May 2023
We booked the Standard Tour which was 1 hour with an English speaking guide. We got to see some of the highlights of the Bourbon Tunnel but wish we booked a more adventurous tour that could have taken us deeper into the tunnels or maybe we should have just booked the Naples Underground tour. The pictures are deceiving because not everything is included in the standard tour like the pool which I wanted to see.
Thumbs up!

Very interesting. To see so much history in one place was amazing. I can’t imagine what it was like for the people who had to stay there.
Hard to find a complaint with such passionate people!
Joseph_P, Apr 2023
This is a private museum, and in our experience, they did everything they could to be accommodating. Of course, you can find something to complain about, but this was one of the better tours we had of our viator experiences. It was also *very* reasonably priced, and the founder of the museum met our tours, and willing to discuss the experience and answer questions. The tour guides cared and were engaging, and even though we missed our time slot, they let us go at the next tour (travel in Europe...). Most of the photos are the same ones you will see on other reviews, so not much to show for our trip, but the experience is great. I look forward to returning to do the more extensive tours!
Our guide was very good...
SALLY_R, Apr 2023
Our guide was very good but unfortunately another guide was very disorganised and interrupted our tour several times.
Too many people being guided too closely was a distraction and made it difficult to follow.
Experience wow, tour poor.
Emily_F, Apr 2023
We had a good tour guide Rosa, very informative and patient. And the sight itself, of course incredible!
It’s a shame the tour was unorganised chaos. We arrived to a massive group for the tour, not sure how the process worked. Then was scurried along- keeping in mind there was about 90 of us in this small underground area. Divided into 2 groups, so tours of 40-50 people. Crazy!
Rosa did well controlling a large group, it was beyond her control.
Why not cap the tour number? Increase price for a better experience?. Have more time slots?
Not well done, could be so much better.
Worth doing

Very interesting, lots to learn about Naples underground, but English spoken by guide difficult to understand.
1943 Allied Bombing Shelters in 1500s water tanks
StevenBerman, Feb 2023
The tour, starting with deep descents down a series of steps, takes you through the 1500s water tunnel system and chronicles the refuge the population found during the 1943 Allied bombing
Sobering step through time with a knowledgeable guide
Dusty_T, Jan 2023
Amazing, sobering visit to some intense history of war-ravaged Naples.
Tours are a bit chaotic in registering at the beginning when arriving.
Be aware the beginning has tight, steep stairs.
Fantastic!
Sirin_A, Jan 2023
An absolutely amazing experience! I didn’t realize there were different levels of the tour and I wish we would’ve done the more intricate tour but I would highly recommend this! Also an extra shout out for the fact that one of our other tours did not provide additional information that it started earlier when we booked and overlapped with this time booking. The team here was AMAZING and let us come in at a later time the same day!
Great underground naples tour!
Yassaira_T, Sept 2022
I found this tour through a google article & was so excited to book! It turned out to be exactly as marvelous as seen in other reviews. You get to see the underground tunnels of naples, stories behind its creation, and to see what remains. Its not a stuffy or scary place, its very high open spaced tunnels worth the tour.
Great Historical Tour
Avik_G, Sept 2022
Galleria Barbonica is a very informative tour of the underground where you can see ancient vehicles from WW2 era. While the history can be heavy, it definitely makes you think. A great tour!
cool place
Jamie_L, Aug 2022
great respite from the summer heat, and learnt so much about the area. however, the entrance area is quite sketchy so do be careful
Great experience and very...
Sebestyn_B, June 2022
Great experience and very knowledgeable guide. The only negative that this standard route doesn't include any underground "pools" or "lakes" as most photos show.
Response from Host, June 2022
Dear Sebestyn,
Thank your for your review. We do provide different tours that’s why is not possible to see everything by attending one of them. We hope to welcoming you back very soon.
Kind regards,
Galleria Borbonica team
Could skip this one...
Hannah_M, June 2022
This was a cool experience, but not the best underground tour I've done in Europe by any means. Our tour guide was okay... he spoke quickly and with zero enthusiasm and was honestly a bit rude and no fun. We were in a very large group and there were several other groups touring the underground at the same time, so sometimes it was difficult to hear what he was saying because it was noisy with so many people around. It was cool to learn about the history of what this underground space has been used for over the years.
Response from Host, June 2022
Dear Hannah,
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience, but I really appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention.
Kind regards,
