Fun Christmassy tour

The lights and decorations are very impressive (and a little bit ridiculous in places). We could have walked round and seen them ourselves, but it was better as a tour because our guide knew where the best houses were, and told us information and stories.

Meeting point is about 20-25 mins walk from start point. This was in cold weather with kids and a Pushchair. The tour guide said this is done in order to meet next to subway stop however there should be a later (2nd meeting point) in order to have families walk 20-25 before the start of the tour. If this is the policy it should have been stated. We had to leave the tour half way. Will not recommend.

Yes, it’s a long walk in the cold (10-12 minutes). Please only attend the tour if you are prepared for a long walk in the cold. The alternative meeting place you are suggesting does not reduce the walking distance. It would just cause confusion.

The Tour guide was rude and disorganized. I arrived 15 minutes before the tour time. Because it was a long ride to brooklyn, I had to go to the bathroom. I was told Mcdonalds was the closest so I went there.when I returned,they left. If they were gonna do that, They could have just told me! Or gave me some insight on what direction they were walking! And why tell me were to go to the restroom if you knew you would be leaving? I came a long way on the train to there meeting place. That was ignorant as hell!

We wait at the meeting place for least 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. You clearly returned more than 10 minutes after the start time. You are suggesting that we should keep a bunch of other people waiting in the cold while we try to figure out if someone went to the bathroom and didn’t come back. But we will not do that because it’s not considerate to the other customers.

This was my second Dyker Heights lights tour. I recommended it to some friends we were traveling with. Definitely enjoyed the festive holiday spirit. However, there were not as many impressive lights as previous when I went almost 10 years ago. Covid has ruined everything.

Tour took too long. It seems like we were within a four block radius. One can take the train and go to the area and see the homes on their own. The tour guide was nice, but we left before the tour was over. Walked back to the train on our own.
